The dyno results that I've seen show 3whp on N/A S2000's (which is huge, most intakes and exhausts don't gain that much) and 10-20 whp on FI S2000's.

i was thinking of MAP's 02 delete dp w/o 02 dump and buschur bullet exhaust. does the buschur with 2 bullets have the bullets in the dp or the testpipe? i know one is the muffler, just can't remember if the other is incorperated in the dp or the testpipe/ cat

The 2nd bullet is where the testpipe would be, but that is by no means a quiet setup. Scheides is running two Bullets and its still louder and has more rasp (definitely aggressive sounding) than my Buschur "Quiet" Magnaflow system. Mine is fine for daily driving, but its by no means quiet if thats what you're going for. Come take a listen/ride in our cars sometime so you can judge for yourself

i've been in your car!! lol. but i haven't heard it at WOT though. i do love the sound of my hks carbo-ti. i just want to tone down the db level a bit. especially when cruising at 60+. i'm can't hear anything after a 4-6 hour roadtrip.

LOL my memorty is shot! I'll definitely say both my and Scheides cars are fine on road trips. Nice choice in the MAP o2 elim downpipe though, thats a quality piece that I'm tempted to get. I'm sure MAP would be more than willing to make it into a cat delete as well and put a resonator where the cat (testpipe) would be.

yeah i bought your stock 02 housing, still not sure on the route i'm going to take though. i want to go for a very stock appearing setup. not sure if i want to get the 02 housing ported/coated by MAP and get a stock exhaust mani ported/coated as well.

I have a ported/coated exhaust manifold and am very happy with it. I also have the Megan coated o2 housing. You could have MAP do your stuff in the same flat black ceramic coating they use on the downpipes.

thats exactly what i ws thinking, possiblly even doing whatever CAI i put on as well. i always wondered what else would benefit from getting coated? IC piping/intercooler itself ? turbo and hotside? not sure if these would be worth it but it would look great!

you want to coat exhaust components because hotter air flows faster, the faster the more efficient the more efficient the more power to be had, coating exhaust mani, O2 housing, turbo hotside and downpipe is very beneficial, you wanna do the reverse on your upper intercooler pipe, you want it to reflect heat away, because even if you have an awesome intercooler the heat of your engine bay can heat soak that upperpipe,
there are several types of heat reflective tape you can wrap your upper pipe in, the lower pipe isnt worth it, cause its hot due to the hot air from the turbo there isnt much you can do, if you have an efficient core and a reflectively wrapped upper pipe you should be fine

for the record CAI on an evo doesnt do much since the air is heated when it passes thru the turbo anyway, id say its more economical to put that money towards ceramic coating exhaust components since that not only keeps the hot exhaust hot but it helps keep the engine bay cooler

thanks for the info. yeah i figured it wouldn't do much for the intake, but i love the look of the black coating. so coating just helps to keep the heat in correct? it doesn't help to keep the heat out?

To keep heat out you'd be better off with some of the gold or silver foil people are using.

yea u would want o keep heat out of the intake, CBRD sells the gold foil, i met chad n he explained that its what lined the engine bays of his open wheel racing cars (similar to formula 1) and it reflects heat
