im curious to know what would be your plans if your motor did blow up? would some of you guys buy a new motor if the block was done for? or would some of you just buy another evo?....i've seen the prices on some of these motors and looked at prices from $5000+! thats a lot...your thoughts...

I put a built motor in my "race" evo so I have a spare long block thats good for my daily driver evo. Same with the tranny/transfer case! Im prepared for the long run! haha

Now that's an interesting scenario that would get some interesting answers. For me personally, living in California, I'd rather not get stopped by the police and pop open my hood to show off a fully-built 4G63. So if that happened and I still lived here, I'd probably just get rid of it and get another car. With the crappy economy, I don't doubt that law enforcement officers will ticket whoever they can to help generate money for the state.

The only reason why I would sell my evo would be to get a newer/better evo.
