Ebay Seller Help.

Hi guys, I'm writing to find out your opinions on a purchase I recently made on fleabay.

I bought a set of injectors for my evo.

The auction title was -
"FIC 850cc injectors EVO DSM 4G63 Mitsubishi"

description was -
"These were removed from a customers EVO. He has around 7k miles on them.

He upgraded to larger injectors. There is nothing wrong with these."

anyway, the injectors arrived no problem, but they do not fit the intake (due to a bell shape on the end of the injector)

I contacted FIC and told them the part number on the injectors, and they said those part numbers refer to Eclipse injectors and not Evo injectors, they also said they probably wont fit the evo due to the bell shape being to large for the evo intake. (which is exactly the problem I'm dealing with)

I told the seller the issues and what FIC have said about them, and told him I want a full refund as they are not as advertised!

yet he says "they DO fit the evo as he removed them from a standard evo"

He will not give me a refund as he says he hasn't breached any listing policies, and something about the money already been spent on xmas.

....What are your thoughts guys?

Thanks and a Merry Christmas to all

Did you use Paypal, if so open a dispute with them. If the seller does not decided to refund your money then you will be able to raise your dispute to a claim. Paypal will review all the information and decide the outcome of the case. That is your best bet to get your money back. or just sell them on a DSM forum.

Provide all your information you got along with his BS emails and then proof of them (part numbers and pics) that they don't fit and bam you'll have refund.

Then spend all the money and dont return the injectors and make the douche have a taste of his own little mix

as far as I can tell the seller has been ok in the past (good feedback) but with me doesn't seem to really care, he thinks its me in the wrong!

Damn I almost bought those, He had 2 sets of the same size injectors on at the same time which I found to be odd plus he claimed they both had the same amount of miles on the which raised a bs flag, I won't ever buy used injectors unless I know the history of them.

I would start a dispute with ebay like you have. I would also try to get FIC to send you an email stating what they said on the phone to you so you can forward it to him, take a detailed picture of the injector obviously not fitting and send it to the seller.

Good luck

paypal

Paypal is useless. Even if you escalate your dispute to a claim they will not refund your money. Hopefully you backed your purchase up with a credit card. That will be your best option for getting your money back.

call your credit card company and dispute the charge.

I had an issue like this recently.

I bought a set of HKS 272's which were really 264's.

Filed a dispute with paypal. It took them about 20 days to finish it up and get my money back.

Hopefully the seller did not empty his paypal account. They will lock the funds and you will get it back with your supporting evidence.

I said it was not the correct item as listed.

They gave me my money and told me not to do anything further.

Right after that he started e-mailing me saying his internet was down for a month. Too bad, I found out he works at Toshiba.

Anyway, he never responded to any of the Paypal e-mails and I got the money and kept the cams(as EvoM members told me) and sold to someone who would appreciate them.

Good Luck

Good luck with your dispute. Those injectors may fit an evo, just not a USDM version (they probably fit a Evo III)
