Are you sure it isn't the windsheild/A-pillar squeek? I had a horrible squeek from my 2005 MR - There was a TSB on this - if you look at my post #146 in the following thread - I copied what the TSB said. Take a look at the whole post - as many, many people had the windsheild squeek.

After I had the TSB service done, I was squeek-free!

Good luck.

This post? I'll let you know how it goes - was it the same noise as what I posted?

I took it to the dealer - and it was a quick fix - this is a few years back. If you look at the thread, there are posts after I put up the TSB where people did it themselves with success. Take a look.

PS yes - that is when I posted the TSB - go to the thread and take a look at the posts after mine - there are people who did it without the dealer.

Are you sure that my squeak is the same as yours? I went to the dealer to get the TSB done today and I made an appointment for next week. The TSB does something with the window trim lining on the outside of the car- but my noise is absolutely from the inside of the car.

Either way, they said if they don't fix it with the TSB they'll diagnose and figure out the problem.

The TSB fixes a really annoying squeek that you hear in the inside of the car - and sounds like it is coming from the dash (although hard to tell from exactly where). The squeek is worse in the cold, but persists year round. I don't know if it is the same as yours - however, if you haven't had it done - try it. There were many people who suffered through the squeek until the TSB fix. After the TSB fix, when the squeek went away and never came back, life was good again...

PS I'll listen to your video tonight (to confirm it is the same squeek)- the video clip is blocked at my work computer.

just listened - hard to tell (a little hard to hear), but I think it I heard a similar squeak as the one I had. Certainly worth trying the tsb. Let me know - eager to hear.

Sure thing, thanks for taking the time. One last question, was the TSB for your IX MR?
