wastegate being pushed open?

so when i try to do a pull at low rpms, high load (like 4th gear starting at about 2500rpms) the car just hit 15 pounds and stays there. it sounds to me that the wastegate is being pushed opened by all the exhaust flow. i can here exhaust coming out the dump tube.

has anyone had this problem?
would a stiffer actuator fix this?

Try checking the preload on your actuator arm.

Check your boost controller and do a boost leak test. I would think your issue would surface here.

how do i adjust preload?
im thinking the actuator is just worn out since this problem happend out of nowhere.

im 100% sure its no boost leak and my MBC is perfectly fine. that was the first thing i checked

im using a jm fab o2 dump and their gasket. everything is pretty new, so i dont think that is the problem

There are a few videos at FP to help a bit. Basically you can lengthen or shorten the actuator rod by undoing the lock nut and winding it out (after disconnecting it from the wastegate) The wastgate should be pushed firmly closed. I'm sure theres further info on the forum

Cool - that should work fine. If you were using the stock gasket with that o2 dump I could see how you could be leaking exhaust right out the dump tube.

I'll be adjusting the actuator on my FP Black today and will be following the videos on the FP site (like the link Twista posted above)
