Why do EVO owners keep their cars with such low mileage?
My first evo I bought brand new and figured I would own the car forever so I kept the miles relatively low. Things happened needed to sell it. The one I have now I bought used and I don't plan on limiting the amount of miles on it or buying another DD. The way I figure it like the original poster said there's plenty of other used low mileage evos out there so if I ever want a third evo in 5-10 years there will be plenty of babied evos out there to pick from so I'm going to use this one up until it completely rusts apart. lol. Someone will do all the heavy lifting of maintaining a pristine evo for 10-15 years, so thanks in advance.

Right after my 04 evo sells (after the build) that's where my money is going.. but a higher mileage one..
Some cars maintain value and some cars tank, it just depends on supply and demand. Evos in general were a niche market car, so I can see them holding true to their value for years.

I'm just hoping I've tripled my salary at that point. haha. (not likely) Because I could see myself saying $40K for a 20 year old evo??? and be too cheap to buy it.
Please lol, I bought mine in November of 2011 with just over 15,xxx on the odo and I currently just rolled over 36,xxx.
I bought mine to be a DD and I drive it back and forth to work every day (roughly 40 miles each way). I went from a civic I turboed myself to a 02 wrx and all those cars I DD through college (commuted on weekends 60 miles each way) and and work after I graduated. I tend to put a lot of miles on that cars I have haha.
Like some guys said already I buy my cars to drive. I don't want to be the guy talking about the car I have that is sitting on jack stands in my garage becuase I'm afraid to drive it.
I'm also oposite of most people on here. I have a 1993 Jeep Cherokee lifted 6.5 inches on 33's . Now THAT is my fun weekend warrior
. I only put about 5,xxx miles on that a year, but thats mainly mountain roads though.
I bought mine a couple weeks ago and it's not gonna see much action except on nice weekend days and the occasional track trip. I drive 70 miles a day for my normal commute in my beater civic and I kinda like it that way. In the civic I'm never worried about getting it dirty, dings and chips, hauling messy stuff in the hatch etc etc.
And if I drove my evo on the daily commute I imagine I would get in a lot of trouble, the civic keeps me in check rocking whatever's left of the 102hp it came with 278k miles ago.
