Why do EVO owners keep their cars with such low mileage?
i have 06 9 SE i don,t know whts up with ya,ll i have 94k on mine and now i just recently build the motor with 2.3 stroker kit and evrything u can ask for it
plus its not my only car i do have a car on side that i drive to work and all but when am not working am driving my evo
and i love every sec of it and not planning on selling it so miles arent the issue for me
i wanna enjoy my evo as much as i can. anyways everyone have diff way of living their lifes and treating there things, i rather enjoy mine while i can before i grow old

I guess to sum it up, the majority of EVO owners either have a second car, or use it once in a while for special occasions, weekends etc. I'm still shocked at the mileage on the cars in the evoM marketplace, compared to similar cars like the STI. I guess this guarantees there will be many mint EVOs for years to come.
I wonder how much one would sell for on Barret Jackson 50-60 years from now with mint low miles haha.

Mines not a dedicated track car or anything. It is however just my nice car.
So if its raining, and the car is clean, I dont drive it lol. I dont take it to work, cause I can get dirty on some days. I pretty much drive it every weekend though. Dont take it on too many trips because of the e85 hassle and the camry gets way better mileage! lol

I had daily-driven my Evo IX for the past few years since I bought it new in 2005. I was then stationed overseas for 3 years in which it sat in the parents garage.
Now that I'm back in the US, I bought a new truck to daily drive. I love my Evo, I bring her out every weekend, cruise around town, get grocieries, car meets/events, etc. It has a little over 45K miles now.
I DD the truck now because:
- no worries about speedbumps, 5hitty Missouri roads, etc
- much more comfortable to drive
- keep the truck dirty w/no bother; dead bugs all over the front end, etc
- not worried about door dings from the a55hole that parks next to me
- did I mention it's more comfortable to drive?
It's SO much easier to work on the car too in the garage...w/a separate daily driver. I can take my time when installing something, maintenance, etc.
Before when I started a project install...I usually started Friday after work and had to make damn sure it was done by Sunday night before work.
It really makes me look forward to the weekends too...starting her up and letting her rip on the country back side roads.

04 VIII. Got it in 06 with 22k, now has 63k. Just recently did the 60k timing belt, etc service and she's running great (other than having to replace the radiator recently due to a leak).
Funny as I used to have 2 other cars and the Evo slowly became the DD lol. Now she's all I got until we can find a suitable car for the missus (teaching her to drive stick on a 6-puck is hell). I love driving her and don't mind putting miles on it considering the 4g63 is one tough little cookie. I drove my 95 Eclipse GST until it had 120k on it, rebuilt it once, replaced it entirely another time, and still had to no problem selling it.
Its not crazy to hear about fully modded 100k+ Evos driving around...

Let's not generalize. There are plenty out there who drive the snot out of their Evos.
I'm the original owner of a 2003 GSR with 147,000+ miles on the odo. It's been my daily driver for the past 8 years now. I am far from stock as well.

Everyone always gives me a hard time for not driving the Evo that often, but after seeing how many people are the same as me, I don't feel as bad lol. All the Evo people in my area know me as "the one who never drives his Evo" haha.
