What is the best fuel setup for E85?

I am new to DSMs/EVO's and I am really looking to run E85 in newly acquired 06 IX. What is the best size/brand injector to run. Also will a single Walboro be sufficient? Anything else needed to be added to the fuel system to make it work correctly. Clearly I understand I also will be doing a re-tune for the new gas. Thanks for all the help!

People are probably going to tell you to search. But the information I can give you is that your questions are too broad. You need to be more specific about your turbo setup, power level, current mods, etc for anyone to tell you what you should run. Size is going to be determined by that. There are several brands that are popular here so I can imagine people will probably be biased towards their own brand. There are a couple of fuel pumps on the market (Walbro, Deachwork [sp], Aeromotive) that you can use as well.

On my current setup with a 35R I run the Aeromotive 340lph and PTE 1000's. That's on pump though. If I wanted to run E85 I would probably swap out for at least 1400cc's as E85 takes more fuel than pump gas.

Get some of the above info answered and I'm sure people would be able to get you pointed in the right direction. Good luck man and welcome to the team.

1000cc or larger injectors and fuel pump is all that is needed.

I run a single wally with 1200 PTE on E.

All depends on your boost and turbo setup. Let us know these and we can give you a better answer.

Did you notice the car starting better on e85 with the pte 1200's? My car stuggles slightly with pump gas with them but on e85 it fires up on a half crank

Sorry took so long! Just picked up the car Thursday morning (Thank you EvoM). It's an 06 IX:ETS 3.5 tbe, Tubular Exh mani, buschur filter, walboro pump, cams, mbc. Plan is to do bigger injectors, fmic, uicp, licp, and a mini battery then tune for E85. My only concern is finding E85 regularly around Columbus.

For those of you running it, how does the car drive normally? Still retain driveability/reliability? How much more power were you able to achieve? I really appreciate the help fella's.

I'm running FP Red, Kelford 272 Springs and retainer, 3.5 ETS intercooler, 340 Fuel pump, 1250 injectors, With exhaust. Tuned it to to E85 last week. Awesome power. It's not my DD but been driven it all week long drives great. Just like most people problem E85 gas station, I'm 12 miles away from my house. Love it.

Drives normal, smells sweet. My first two tanks, I thought I blew a headgasket or my washer fluid lines burst,LOL

Reliability is all in the tune, I put at least 6-9K on my E85 set up already.

Power, No dyno results and virtual never really works for me for some reason.
But yes you can feel the differene esp. in the higher gears, still pulls. remember E is around 105-106 octane.
