The answer probably depends on the cop, the location, the Evo and the driver.

You can not get a ticket if you don't stop. Just throwing that out there.

kinda surprised to see this thread still generating--- excuses. Its not profiling in the classical sense, its common sense for a cop. Loud exhaust, fin, bright colors, faster acceleration then cars around it, dark tinted windows etc... ALL are attention getters--from all your buddies and yep for the same reasons cops. I havent been pulled over more in the evo then other cars I have owned and it would behoove many of you to play the game as well. First-- be polite, dont answer the question of " do you know how fast you were going" or " do you know why I pulled you over?"--your asking for the ticket. Roll your windows down, pull over to a safe spot for the cop to walk to your car, keep you hands on the steering wheel. Let him know you see his lights if you have to drive a distance. Dont make threatening/fast moves and tell the cop what your reaching for and if its ok...be nice. If he's a douche be nicer---- amazing how many time this works. be calm cool and collective and not defensive. This requires maturity and it works. Hey, got busted doing 80 in a 65 with my kid in the car and drove away-- no ticket and a great lesson for my kid. Cut the BS and the DB level of the exhaust and that will go a long way. My .02-- good luck.

been driving my evo for over 3 years, and been pulled over once.

if you're not braking the law but still are getting pulled over. Then the area you live in the cops just have bad vibe/past experience with those cars.

For the most part cops are attracted to ****ty drivers. I think the better observation is that every piece of junk wrx or civic are attracted to evos.

I got pulled over once, the scarlet OZ rims get me attention from "the man". I got away with a warning. I went by at 30 in a 30 but gave the cop the stink eye...he didn't like that and said I was not wearing the seatbelt ( I was so )

Going from a 350z to an Evo I thought I'd get more attention in an Evo but surprisingly the Z (for me at least) just attracted cops even when I put the stock exhaust back on and I drive usually the speed limit especially if I have the kids with me. My Evo is stock except for an intake and I put a "baby on board" thing on my rear window and I got more attention from douchebag Honda fanboys and a few retards driving a wrx than I do with local cops.
