Most of you guys are saying I did a WOT pull and this damn cop just pulled me over?!?

No ****? These things stand out, so ya EVERYBODY is looking at your car when it comes down the street. Kids/tuners know what it is, people that don't know what it is look at it like its a ferrari, cops see a sporty car with a big wing. But, I drove my purple, lowered, loud as hell 2g GS-T with the biggest FMIC i could get onto it for years, only getting pulled over maybe twice? And I drove that thing like an *******.

Not defending police in any way, but the majority of stories involve you guys doing something illegal, its not like you got pulled over because your car has loud exhaust. You're just more noticeable.

With saying that, I pick up my IX next week and i'll probably be back on here with a different opinion very shortly lol

I have had my Evo for 4 years now and haven't been pulled over once. I will not knock on wood, as I don't believe in that crap. I drive it like an EVO should be driven and have been blessed to have nothing negative in return. My Evo is registered in FL and mods are totally illegal with no front plate. I live in San Diego and have no problems whatsoever. Besides, do you really that I'd stop for a cop who is already 120hp behind the power curve?

I've been pulled over for tint and for exhaust. Other than speeding, I think those are the easiest ways to get pulled over.

^^ no validity, i drive all over NJ and the 5 Boro's all hours, with a inspection sticker from 2011. Never stopped its the driving and the driver who garner the attention of the popo's.

I've never been stopped in the Evo unless I deserved.

I drive 10 over max most times.

I did get a BS ticket from a LEO in my wife's STi and the officer was a complete dbag (Gave me a ticket for OBSERVING me doing 58 in a 35 but then proceeded to write a ticket for me in my EVO.......My blue Evo thats dead not the grey STi I was driving, I'd say his observation skills are suspect at best).

I WILL not neuter my Evo by removing the wing because some jerk cop doesn't like boy racers. If I'm not hurting anyone and my exhaust isn't louder then some good ole boy/rich guys Harley then [Insert colorful euphemism here].

I have to disagree with removing the wing, I should slow down, my car is loud and not just exhaust, my quartermaster twin chatters and chips, and my pad compound tends to be noisy when I warms up. I honestly don't like the attention these quarks bring to the car and to me but I wouldn't have it set up any other way. I took my wing off last year to get it recleared and almost as soon as I left my shop I was driving amazingly normal and honestly just under the speed limit and a cop drove by me in the other direction and flipped a 180 and followed me luckily not pulling me over, but I was rather bummed about the incidence considering I was so excited about getting less attention, which didnt happen. Anyways I think it depends on the cop, any sports car will grab attention over a prius, so watch for cops a just expect to be a target.

I just have a really good lawyer and if a cop stops me he better have his ducks in a row. Helps to go take a radar class and learn everything you can about these things. You be surprised how many cops dont really use it correctly and this my friends will get you out a ticket quick!!......in court of course.....LO
