Just got, buying, reviewing, thinking about a new Evo [Ultra Hyper Mega MERGE]
After driving it for only about 30 miles I am almost blown away.
I definitely do see what everyone means when they say the top end (5k rpm - 7k rpm) needs some fixing though.
Enjoy the photos !!!

Anyone know a better place I can upload these photos online ?

Drive with both hands for a while is all I can say.
When I drove mine home it found some tire grooves in the road and I almost kissed the curb!
That would have wrecked my entire new car experience.
And for that 4-5k boost drop-on-da-face....
Do you have $210 and 2 days...... GET THE DYNO FLASH!
Best thing the evo could ever have.
Congrats.

Hehee, I didnt even noticed anything special about the evo, but it is hard as hell to drive. Everything is stiff and tuff. Even the brakes. But after 2 days, I finally couldnt stand staying off boost all the time and decided to gun it near 5K. It put a smile to my face. Woah, I missed those days... Time to upgrade I guess, I no longer have that smile anymore. But for sure, I cant stand driving anything else. Love this car more and more everyday. Hope you will enjoy your EVO. It will feel slower and slower as each day goes by. Only the modding GOD will make that fast feeling comes back. Peace....
The steering is amazingly quick ... still getting used to it.
I tell you though after coming out of an S2000 that built power all the way to 9k rpms, the truncated top end (over 5k) is really annoying me.
Everyone agrees that a Dynoflash cures this problem ?
If so it is definitely going to happen real soon.
I paid $23,500 (4k miles) with the 84month 100k mile Mitsu warranty and the car is in perfect condition. Got a great deal because the seller could'nt afford the $8,000 PER YEAR Insurance premiums. No joke.

My suggestion is to do some reseach about modding the car, just don't go out and buy things.
Read, read, read ...this board has a lot of good info.
Welcome to the Evo board and congrats on the car.....its fun isn't it!
Top end power for me wasnt there either, MBC or EBC, exhuast and an SAFC (or SAFC2) will help in this.
Stock boost is around 19#'s then at (around) 6grand it drops off to 16#'s, so there is a lot of power loss there in itself.
There are other options too....all depends on how much $$$ you want to lay down....

Nice deal on the price man, I think if you throw a few 1,000 at the car then it really rocks.
