yea, but you can buy v-power 99 octane on every shell gas station, and we have to deal with crappy 93.....

I was in the same boat as LEE K. I almost bought an RX-8 but chose the EVO. Overall I am satisfied with the EVO. Excellent write up by LEE K.

See the "Is this cool are what?" thread for details as to why I chose red.

problem is 350Zs are all over the place.. since you introduced RX8, I'd rather get that.

Don't get the Evo if you dont need to mod, dont need the room, and want something else.

Hey JWA give me a contact name if you have one and see if they have a 800#

Call Dan Hoppenjon or Mark Porcaro..

1-262-886-1400

They have cars in stock..

Or better yet, call Renner Mitsubishi..

Call 1-414 258-9980

Ask for Bryan ONLY..( he owns an EVO and is a mod on this board)

The Evo lease rates are just dreadful and make almost no sense over owning. Dealers in this area won't even offer a lease because of this. With a 39% residual after 36 months, the Evo's depreciation is one of the worst in the business. (It's tied with the SRT-4, believe it or not). The 350Z has a residual that is much higher, greater than 50% I've googled trying to find out exactly what the residuals are, but have been unsuccessful. But I did note that the 350Z was awarded some kind of honor for being the sports car of 2003 with the highest residual rates in its class. What this means is that the 350Z will be cheaper to operate than the Evo, at least with respect to leasing.

As for performance differences, I can't say. I haven't driven a Z, but I do have regular access to an Inifiniti G35 Coupe that I can compare. The Inifiniti's interior is high quality, it's comfortable, and the engine is strong. The back seat is close to useless. It offers a much different driving experience than the Evo, but it is a car that any auto enthusiat can respect.

Leasing an EVO would be tough. After all, what leasing company would want one back after three years. If I leased an EVO, after three years the car would be a mess. Someone who leases doesn't have a sense of ownership. It's a long term rental and we all know how rental cars are treated. An off lease EVO? You'd almost have to give it away.

Start a new poll and change your Forum title to EVO v 350 Z, which do you like? or something like that. There are 3 or 4 people that post regulary that made the switch from the 350 Z to the EVO and they will tell you why.

With the EVO though, you will have to buy.

Red-Carbon Fiber is the best combo. CF front lip with CF hood. Blacked-out headlights and MR style tail lights. Graphite or GM 18s Volks racing wheels.

That wont even buy us a standard Scooby WRX let a lone an EVO. Your fuel is cheaper and you get better stuff, parts are cheaper and you get a better selection. If only you had as interesting roads as us and I be there I a flash! 

drive some roads here and say that.....its called NEW england for a reason....

I have both cars at home, and have driven both. My first car of choice was the Z, but then I ended up with the EVO. I never test drove either one before I got it, but the EVO made me fall in love with it. It's like one of those arrange marriage kinda deal. hahah, didnt really want her, but ended up with her. Strange huh? I had no idea what I've gotten myself into. I loved that big *** brembo brake system, and that unique looking style to it. I gotta say, the big *** wing catched my eyes. Anyways, after having the evo for a while, I started to like it more and more. And then one day my bro got the track model Z (Pearl White), I was like damn, that is my dream car. I kinda regretted that I didnt end up with the Z, but then after driving it several times, I like my evo much better. The Z has a nice torque band down low, but bleed off on top just like the stock evo. Its styling with many blind spots makes it hard to drive. Steering is no where near the evo. Even from a roll, stock Z doesnt have anything over the stock evo. I raced several on the highway, and non could pull on me. If you like modding, then the EVO is for you. Personally, the evo can look really good and aggressive with some minor external add-ons like a CF hood and CF front lip. Ohh, look at the STI too. Damn, I'm starting to fall in love with that car. I'm afraid I might have an affair soon. hehehe, please dont tell my EVO, she'll kill me!!!!

So I will be heading to the show with the digital camera, mainly taking pics of the tag with my name on it.

I told them to make sure they rope it off, and lock the doors

Can't wait until Mon. I will be officially a dude
Small world. I saw that car last night. They took off all the nobs and the shifter to keep people from stealing them, but the doors where open so people could sit in it. The sti was all locked up.
