Congrats!

Just look over that car VERY closely before taking ownership. Vehicles in those car shows are pawed and leaned on and brushed up against like crazy! Keep your eyes out for any dents/dings/scratches.

Dealerships usually have a hard time selling the car that was in the car show for this reason.

thats a really sweet deal dude, i cant wait to see the pics of your car, with your name on it... haha thats gotta be awesome, u can tell all the hot chicks there " hey thats my car! "

Ps. i too have a thing for white cars, its a very classy and elagante color ** hence why apple products are always white **

but if not white i would want black too, love black!

Blue, i cant have because i always get in to acciendents with ** funny how i've had 2 acciendts with my blue lancer, and i've only had it for 1 year ** so no more blue

sorry for rambling, but awesome deal !

Is it even possible to get a factory backed lease for the Evo yet? I know it wasn't even an option when the car was released.

Illinois roads are sooooo boring. Of course, it's nice for high speed testing out in the country. Straight as an arrow, nice roads that run for miles. The speeding tickets sure hurt though.

It seems that you are set on getting this Auto show car..

Congrats..

Can I play devils advocate here?

Those auto show cars are MANHANDLED ...seriously..

Having worked at the Autoshow's representing Mits, Toyota, BMW, Mercedes and Lexus(and others) I can say with no hesitence that these cars get beat up big time..

It's your decision and if you are happy I support you, but food for thought..

Stupid question... why are you getting another if your profile thing on the left says you are bored with the evo?

the z is sick but it's a little cheap looking as opposed to the g35 which you could get instead for just a little more money. they are both rear wheel drive which might be a concern depending on where you live or travel. the z is only a 2 seater and that might be a problem. the evo, as you probably know, is a 5 seater with all-wheel drive and it could outperform both the z and g35. the evo isn't all show and shine but it is a great car and i wouldn't want anything else. lastly, the evo will probably hold its value better than the others because it is lower production and the first one offered in the US

Oh I didnt know that it was impossible to lease, haven't gone to the dealer yet... As masterevo said I did go look at the STI's and they are too expensive, I only have 30k to spend. I know it sounds stupid that the STI is only 2k more but 30k is already pushed to the max of my limit. And as for the G35, my dad has the sedan version of it and it is definently a fun car but that is also too expensive and I dont think my dad would like to have the same car as me even though he is getting the C6 in a year when his G35 lease is up. I'll just go to the dealership with him and see if he is willing to buy. Does anyone know of a good dealer in San Diego that I could maybe get below MSRP that is offering good interest rates? I went to the Subaru dealership and it really pisses me off when they offer % rates of used car dealerships because they think they have no competition although in every article online I've seen by reputable sources they have like the Evo better than the STI. I know if I did get the EVO the first thing I would do is take off the spoiler and get the JDM grill. I'm not into crazy import looks, just into the speed!

the rx-8 is really nice but they also lied about horsepower and everytime i drive by a mazda dealership, they have a ton on the lot, which to me says that they aren't selling. i am partial to the evo because i have one and love it but for the comporable price tags, i think you gotta go with the evo. i agree with mitsubishi quality not being all that great but mazda isn't winning any luxury awards either. of the topic, good luck, return home safely, and thanks

Correct! There is no lease option on the Evo. Don't know if you know this but there is an option on the Evo that you can get a small spoiler. I'm a salesman at a Mitsu dealer, too bad I'm not in SanDiego or I'd help you out. Good luck man. If all else fails I still say to lease a G35 Coupe....... They are very fun cars and I almost enjoy it more than the Evo.

At 18 you are probably looking at too much car in an Evo and maybe the 350. Look at a WRX as a better 18 year old choice. You'll save some money, have better residual, have far more go than you need, and perhaps enough less get in trouble to keep you out of trouble. Use the money you save for a good driving school like Jim Russell or similar.

Shoot, maybe take it a step further and find a good used WRX. You'll save even more money that can go into mods and more driving schools.

Work your way up to the Evo level. You'll be happier and a safer driver in the long run.

That wont even buy us a standard Scooby WRX let a lone an EVO. Your fuel is cheaper and you get better stuff, parts are cheaper and you get a better selection. If only you had as interesting roads as us and I be there I a flash! 
Do a web search and check out "Deal's Gap" in the Carolina's. That's got to be one of the world's best driver's roads. I haven't been over there yet but want to some day.
