Lots of RWD V8 people are digging this car. But no need to dog V8's. Have you seen the Australian V8 Supercar series? It rocks, just make the EVO another car in your collection.

Owned 3 mustangs (all track driven)

Being able to launch your car with street tires as if it were riding on drag slicks, is unequalled in comparison to what any v8 has to offer atm.
...imho

I’m in love with awd =)

Bought my Apex Silver VIII a month ago after much haggling with the dealer for invoice.

Also my first non-V8 american iron warhorse and man am I impressed. I live right at the foot of the blue ridge and there are endless miles of winding backroads to blast through.

Man, I love this car. Also just ordered my first round of mods from buschur.....

I'm getting my EVO soon also. Though I always had imports, a Mustang/Buick shop was who told me that this should be my next car!

TO: BigDaddy78660 question: I paid it all down, in full.

TO: C-Murdock question: Family Mitsubishi in Indianapolis, call Perry @ 317-357-3300, awesome!

It is day three of EVO and I laughed outloud driving by myself to and from a client's office out in the country this morning, I spent my lunch hour explaining to a good friend that I have indeed not lost my mind, and that the car is that quick and fun. He stood by his Lincoln LS V8 and shook his head in disbelief and I told him I would pick him up after work and he would be converted as I have been. They should put me on the payroll, I almost want to stop people on the sidewalk and tell them about my EVO.

I am the American V8, new vette and musclecar guy, and I absolutley love this car!!

So Sharky if you don't mind me asking. Why did you stay away from the Mitsu dealer on the southside, Ray Skillman I believe is the name, they have like 4-5 in their showroom last time I looked. Why did you goto Family Mitsu? I'm looking at buying an EVO as my first car and since I live in eastern indiana, I can go either indy or cinci and not have a problem finding dealerships, but I prefer to goto indy as I like that city better than Cincy. Just curious as to why you chose that mitsu dealer.

TO: shiplemw: I searched Indiana dealer inventory for EVOs, Bloomington was my local dealer and I like to buy local so I called them first. I made it quite clear, nicely, that I was ready, I was not trading anything in, I did not need financing and would be bringing the money, "I need to drive it, if it is that good, I'll take it today" and they said "We don't allow test drives". He knew I was past my 20s, not going to fail to get financing as I would pay cash, and I was going to buy one, a perfect sale, and the idiots were not even trying to get me in the dealership. They knew I wasn't tire kicking. They had black, I asked if I still came in to buy one, would they trade with a dealer for red, "No, we don't want to put any miles on one".

I'm sorry, but I own several businesses and I would never have expected this kind of responses from a car dealer!

Family Mitsubishi had they only red one and I called, stated my position and Perry said "Come on in and drive it and see if you like it". I told him about the local dealer response and he stated "We want to sell these cars at OUR dealership". I still like that one!

I told him it was very hard for me to leave work during the week, I would like to come in Saturday. He said that was fine but if I wanted he would drive the car to me, 4 hour round trip and he would have to have somebody else come pick him up, with all the paperwork, I could drive it, and if I didn't want it he would drive it back. NOW THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKIN' ABOUT.

I was so impressed, I said "I'll be there at 4:00". I wanted to go to the dealer myself and deal with this guy! Awesome.

That's why, there was no need to try Skillman though they were closer, this guy offered it all without me asking! And I wanted to preach it on the site I was so pleased.

bought an evo today :more available at a good price

hey all. new guy to this forum and this is my first post.bought a new black evo today at a good price.i would like to recommend the dealership where i bought it,first id like to tell u where not to go:shelton mitsubishi in shelton,ct.i l started my search at burlington,vt mits... after talking to the salesman for awhile he said he couldnt go much below msrp.so,i decided to check elsewhere and see what i could come up with.seeing im from c.t,and now live in vt ,i decided to check with them(ct).the salesman(young kid)was cool.he checked my credit and let me go for a ride.thought the car was way cool and decided to get one after the test drive and visiting this forum unregistered a million times.many words can describe shelton mits.:most which i dont feel like writing here.whatever u do just dont go there no matter what.now, with this behind i said to myself, where else can i go?so after looking around the net i decided to try manchester mits.in manchester, new hampshire.i first called them to ask if they had the color...then,asked them if they could do 1000 over invoice.last, told them i had a 2003 maxima as a trade.after our conversation,i decided i liked what i was hearing and jumped in the max and made my way there.mike, the salesman(another young kid),cool guy nevertheless, stayed with me througout the long negotiation.well,to make a long story short i got the car for 1700 over invoice(including destination and all extrasrep, delivery).thought it was a pretty good deal and the service guys seem pretty cool.so with that if u are in the market for a car manchester new hampshire will do u right as they did me.ask for mike and tell him the guy with the black nissan maxima and the newly purchased black evo sent ya.p.s. no sales tax in n.h.
