Just got, buying, reviewing, thinking about a new Evo [Ultra Hyper Mega MERGE]
Just curious why you paid MSRP? I got my car in Spokane about a month ago and paid just a few hundred over invoice.
Congrats on the car though, I hope you like it as much as I like mine.

Well price is all relative to location. When I bought my Evo nobody wanted to talk to me unless it was over $3000 over MSRP. I found a dealership that would sell it to me for MSRP so I jumped on it.
Congrats on the Ride!! I got a Low spoiler one too.

I paid MSRP because I felt it was a fair price for the car. I know I could have talked em down further, but didn't. I did get the extended waranty (7yr/100k miles bumper to bumper) for under cost though. I paid 1493 for that.
LOL gtr!
Yeah I saw that meantioned on the thread I was reading about the steel braided clutch lines. Thanks for the heads up. Hey did you remove the restricter valve spring as well? On the detector bit, I am planning on going with a package that includes a laser shifter/jammer. Definitely a wise investment for these cars though.

Get a stainless steel clutch line from Lancershop.com. That will fix your gripes about the clutch engagement. I think they are selling them under $50 now but I havent checked in awhile.
Best thing I have done to my evo (so far).

On a side note:
Why does everyone feel the need to drag price into every discussion. Every single thread ends up turning into who got theirs the cheapest. If the man is happy with the deal, why would you feel the need to question what he paid, then chime in with what you paid, as if to say "coulda had it cheaper". Well, I've got news for you; THERE WILL ALWAYS BE A BETTER DEAL. Constantly comparing what you paid to everyone else is no way to live. If you fit this description, then I feel sorry for you, as I don't see how you could get enjoyment out of anything.
