Just got, buying, reviewing, thinking about a new Evo [Ultra Hyper Mega MERGE]
I realize that the future of the evo is very unsure right now with sales and everything, but being that i need to get a car by no later than may i need advice...
I was thinking about just getting something like an infiniti g35 for the time being and if the evo 9 or the evo 8 w/ ayc, adc, lsd, 6spd, etc... trade the infiniti in(which will have a higher value than an evo) for that? Or just screw it and get the evo. What would you do?
and yes i realize things will be biased... but if you were in my shoes would you wait or what?

It is still bewildering to me why people say they want to wait for ayc/acd and the 6 speed. Trust me, you don't need those fancy gadgets, and they are just more things likely to break. Sometimes more is not better.
I think that if you truly want a performance car then get the evo. You will not regret it. After buying it I only drove it for little more than 2 months but I loved every sec of it and I have no problem waiting till spring to drive again.
I couldn't wait for it to come and regardless of its future I will keep driving it and enjoying it. If you want an all-rounder in terms of daily drivability and deal with potholes/jacked up NorthEast roads, then get a FWD/AWD car so that the fuggin unpredictable winters will never surprise you

>bluevilevo8, I totally agree!
>CXspeed, u know it and we know it. you're sacrificing money on another car thats not gonna be what you really want. the dealer told me that the next generation of the Evo might or might not come around in about 3-4 years. like the integ type R, this might be your last chance to get an Evo before they stop making them. then you'll end up with a used one somewhere down the line. just my free @ thought.

You guys are right... I'm only young once (not that you have to be young to drive the car) I'm gonna get the car I really want... Plus this might be the last chance for it. I know i can't get it for a couple months, but still sometimes a few points can set your focus in the right directions. Thanks fellas!
I dont see why people are saying the evo's future is iffy, the sales are great in the US compared to other opening markets, and the lack of advertising there doing.
The evo's in other countries are selling quite well, so I think there is nothing to worry about.
That being said, I would go for the EVO. Driving experince is way diff, just the g35 is great, though the evo has more to offer, aside from somewhat luxury.
