If you know how to drive and take care of the beast car, go for the Evo. It's my daily driver with 10K miles with some mods. Also, check with your insurance company and compare the cost of both the Evo and STI, both great cars. But, with current mods, my Evo is faster than any stock STI and still cost less overall with the mods.
BTW, if I was to buy another car right now, it would be an EVO all the way unless Evo becomes an electric hybrid monster than that would be the car for me.

great car. i have had 3 vws, two vr6s and a 1.8t. both a mk III and mk IV. i had the rare 337 GTi and loved it, but hands down the evo is better, less rattles, better service, more go power. may not look as pretty inside, but tighter and more fun to drive. i am a vdub fan, but the evo bug bit me and i have no regrets. drive one and you will buy one. i did. also in snow, the car is great, with snow tires, of course.

Congrats man hopefully it all works out for you. As for color choice I bought red but if I had to do it again I'd prob get a silver EVO, which isnt available in RS trim (only red and white). Look around 03 Evo's are going for invoice or less. Good luck.

Grats man, Def go with the non RS and if you take care of your car really well... get black.

No color looks better on a car then black as long as its clean.

You dont like ur Rally red man? I like my rally red alot better than silver for sure. First off, there are too many silvers around my area and I believe that silver is a common color on the evo. Go for black or white. Those are very nice color choices. Peace

Yeah Black is nice but Hard to take care of Paints it easy fade, dirt swirl... I took Automotive Collision/refinish College.. they say white, sliver and light color is more easy.. i think sliver ok.. But Im in Washington state and i seen 5 or 6 Evo car in year... I seen red, blue, black and white...

I love the color, i just wonder how long it will stay looking as it does. As in the stated in the post above me, silver is much more durable.

Woo! my new evo!

Im 17 this is my 4th car.. I sold my 93 Rx7 to buy this... Its so much more practical for me... awd.. all the goodies. But anyways im exciting, I'm in the process of breaking her in and cant wait to really get into the turns.

Im looking for a nice setup of gauges. and a turbo timer as of now. Im debating on weather or not I should void the warrenty and mod it.. or keep it stock for 36k.

But im very happy with this purchase.

Some questions: Hows the performance out of the stock exhuast? it sounds nice and wondering if I will really get any significcant gains with a new exhuast. What about a bov? Since it recirculates.. is it possible to get any bov on there? To get the liscense plate holder off.. Its behind the grill, do i have to take the front bumper off to get the holder off? Will lowering springs be effective on the car? or make the handling worse?

I know these have been posted but I get so many different things when I search I'd appreciate some answers and would like to meet some of you.

for now,
Jay
