Had to get rid of 350z...

After owning the 350z for a year and a half and dealing with all the service headaches, mostly the people , I had to make the switch. Traded in the 2003 350z for a 2003 Evo VIII. What a rush! This car is a blast! No more worries about being at high altitude. My insurance went down by 30%!!! The benefits keep rolling in...

Congrats. I traded an 02 3.5 Altima that had many problems and Nissan service sucks. They never fixed my car and I did not want to pursue a lemon law case. I will never buy another nissan except if they bring the Skyline, but that will probably come under the Infiniti badge. Enjoy the Evo.

How much $$ did you guys lose? I have an '02 maxima and I'm looking at possibly doing the same thing. Only problem : The mitsu dealership around here sucks....we're talking 7k mark up on an 03.

From: houston tx,
^^ pff. thats nothing. There are dealerships here that still have their original shipment of evos, and they can't sell them because they are still asking 45k for them... They justify it by charging like... 1k for the dealer option shift knob, 1k for the dealer option pedals etc.... its ridiculous.

Drove 4 Evo's today

We had to move our offices to another building today and had to move all the inventory along with it. I moved the 4 Evo's and had the assignment to drive them down to the station and put some gas in and then back. It was about a 4.5 mile loop in total times 4 cars.

It's been a while since I've driven an STi so I can't really compare however I can say these are fine cars. It is very difficult to stay out of the boost, even with a very light foot and consciously trying to. I didn't go over 4500 and even at that there is PLENTY of performance.

The steering is RIGHT NOW quick. I think it would take a little while to get used to but not too long. The brakes are awesome. The headlights took a little while to warm up and go, which was kind of weird.

The ride is FIRM but I wouldn't call it rough or harsh. All in all it's a pretty amazing vehicle as everyone already knows. I'm glad to finally get a chance to drive one... especially when it turns into four of them.

Your location says Pearland, TX...which dealership are you employed by? I'm in the Med Center area of Houston, just curious I'd like to come by & meet your service techs since I haven't found a dealer to service my car yet!

Upgrading from an OZ to an EVO!!!!

Guys I need help, I test drove the evo VIII yesterday and I'm thinking of trading in my OZ for an EVO!!!! My question to you guys is what's the intel on the '04's in terms of when they are arriving and if it's worth waiting for? Second, what is a good price for an EVO with 0 miles, with sun roof, regular wing, stock stereo, I'll just replace that with my current OZ setup? Thanks for your help!

Test-drive an sti first. You might think twice about that evo. Maybe that way you won’t be regretting your decision later like me. (Even though I did test-drive them both)

If you do go with the evo

Good price = 28k or under if possible

Waiting for 04's is up to you. If you don't want leather or the infinity stereo system then buy now for less.
