Its the cat's meow. Its the bee's knees. What more can I say. My last 4 cars were all Saabs, which I still hold near and dear to my heart, but they can't compare to the driving experience that is the 4G63 at 19psi, smoothing down on the brembos so you can take a corner like your on rails! The perfect putasmileonyourface machine.

Rock out wit your bad evo selves.

If you want some serious power get the EVo it's a great car.
For daily driving and a little fun sometimes I think the ralliart is all you need.

My Evo is a daily driver and every time I get in a smile comes across my face. I have yet to experience that feeling in any other car. It is just so much fun to drive. And I also came from in the past having a 98 s-10 SS with every mod I could put on it. If you have been used to that then the ride in the Evo will be no problem for you as a daily driver. As far as the $$ that you would have to pay it is worth it in my book. But to each his own if it something you can work into your budget get one. But dont put yourself in the poorhouse for a car.

I've driven and owned my fair share of sports cars myself. I would agree that the EVO is definitely the best all around car I have owned and probably one of the best I've driven this side of anything under $50k.

Thumbs up Yep, the car rocks.

I love my "poor man's M5" in ways that are indescribable. Someone said that my Evo was a poor man's M5 the other day and I was offended at first, but after thinking about it, I replied...

"Umm, no I think you mean the M5 is a rich man's Evo VIII!"

This car DOES ****ing rock.

if i would have stayed at the dealer sitting next to the evo any longer, and actually brought a down payment, i am sure that there would be a evo in my drive way right now. but i am satisfied with my car. it serves it purpose of saving me gas money and it is fun to drive.

If you try to trade in your RA now you are probably going to take a bath on the deal. But, if you really care to know, I put 10k down on my Evo and my payments are around $350 a month on a long term loan (which is really not a good idea, BTW).

That's why I bought my RA.... No EVO's in Canada yet..... (except for the odd one from the US).... Why don't you just Turbo, suspension etc. Turbo Tech said his is faster then a stock EVO.

New or used Evo....

Im hopefully in the next few months going to be purchasing an Evo. My questions are I have no one around that is selling there Evo used and, the only places are through a member here which I would gladly do, or ebay. And the price for a new Evo is worth it but, I feel that right as you buy it depreciates quite a bit. But, I would like to break in my first car, but the difference in price is not worth it. What is yalls opinion.

Personally I feel having a warranty and peace of mind that the car is unabused is worth the extra money. I wanted to buy an 03 but the thought of losing an entire years worth of depreciation the second I drive it off the lot isn't worth it to me. I'm going to wait for the 04s. Plus where I live it will work out perfectly, it will be late spring/early summer and I can fully enjoy the car and not worry about winter tires/rims for 3 weeks. I'd go new unless you can find a hell of a deal on a car you know wasn't abused.

Talking New EVO Owner - Need Help & Advice

Hi guys I finally got my EVO today (Blue). I am new to the turbo charged AWD car market. I plan on reading all the manuals and doing alot of research, but I figure I would first ask some people more experienced then myself, with first hand knowledge and expertise.

Short of an OIL change every 3k miles, what other rutine maintance should I be performing, such as adding water the inter cooler, etc, etc, etc.

Please forgive me, I am a complete "noobie", but I want to take the best care possible for my car. Once, I get this down, then I can start looking into mods and such.

BTW, paid $27,369 for my EVO at Fox Mitsubishi in Baltimore Maryland , if anyone is curious.

Thanks guys, I look forward to becoming very much involved with this community. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciate.

its a good idea to get a turbo timer so you dont need to sit in your car for 1 min after hard driving to let the turbo cool down

Thank you so much, these are the kind of tips I am looking for.
I should have remembered that, a friend of mine had a 88 or 89 Mitsu Conquest, i think his timer was set for like 120 seconds or so.

Could you recommend a good cost efective turbo timer?

Thank you.
