yeah around here i have really high area taxes and stuff so if i were to get it for 31-32 out the door that is about MSRP or a bit under.

Get the smaller pulley for 200 and exhaust for 300-400. 03 cobras off the line with that IRS does it hurt it either throw on some DRs not slicks, cause like you said the half shafts would hate it *SNAP*. Kenne Bells charger boostin 18lbs hit 9s barely a few months ago. What was all done to your stang and what did ya run?? What gears?? how many lbs boost?? ALL details
'02 GT w/ FMS 4.10 gears on the stock 8.8, Steeda Tri-Ax shifter, D&D welded on subframes, Vortech SQ trim with Aftercooler running on the stock 8# pulley, Anderson powerpipe, 42# injectors, 255lph walbro in-tank pump, Magnaflow cat-back, cats gutted, 90mm Lightning MAF, K&N cone filter, and in-dash autometer boost and EGT gauges. Dynotuned @ FordChips.com by Jerry himself.

street tire : 275/45/17 BFGoodwrich KDW's on stock wheels.
track tire : 275/45/17 Nitto 555R on extra set of GT wheels.

I ran consistent 117mph trap speed, and even on the DR's I couldn't get better than a 2.0 60' time. The quickest ET I could muster was a 12.30 but I had zero traction shifting into second. ET is really only a measure of traction and the ability of the monkey behind the wheel .

Everything listed above was right at $10k over the cost of the car. I lost it all at only 6000 miles on the odo when I totalled it. I was only able to salvage the Vortech head-unit and my drag-radials to resell.

Good luck with whatever you get.

If he says he may be able to do better, that means he easily can do better and is trying to get the most money out of you. He threw that out so you still wheel and deal your way lower. Trust me it can be done. Anyway good luck and I know youll love it when you have

I always thought MSRP does not include dest.
I have one on order and was offered 500 under MSRP plus dest.
Sounds like you had a sweet deal and thanks for posting...
The dealer I went to is pretty desperate to sell so they will meet or beat any price... Which dealership in WI did you get yours?

Invoice and MSRP usually include destination. Invoice is what the dealer "pays" the manufacturer for the car, and it's the dealer that pays the shipping. In the case of the Evo, destination is $595. If you go to a site like www.edmunds.com you will see that destination is included in both their TMV, invoice, and MSRP breakdowns.

Just make sure you don't get double-charged for dest. MSRP on an evo with sunroof and big wing (and dest) will be $30,812.

yeah i suppose that if 30,812 is MSRP with moonroof and wing then getting it for between 31-32K is pretty good, seeing as tax around here was like 800 or some ungodly figure. that is simply one dealership and i also got the referral price at that place. i still plan on shopping around a few other places just to see what im offered. thanks guys.

Hey, where do you live? If you live in TX, I got a few hookups for you, from my negotiations I had over a week ago. I settled for a red Evo8 with sunroof and spoiler for $31250 out the door (that's $29200 before all the fees). I coulda had one for $31k flat out the door, but I didn't want that color.

Any chance they would just let you order your car if you didn't want things like the sunroof or wing? That way I could also chose the color?

well im in IL so unfortunately texas is not a very practical thing for me, haha. thanks anyway. the dealer im ordering from said they are one of the higher volume mitsu dealers in the midwest, so they can cut deals a bit. the more im realizing it 31-32K out the door isnt bad at all. the tax in this county is like 8.25 or 8.5% so that accounts for roughly 2K. thanks for all the info guys.

Yea, it was at a higher volume Mitsu dealer that I got the 31k offer, but I bought mine at a dealer in a small town, which I drove 7hrs to get!

Several dealers told me they couldn't order the car, seeing how they were allotted to the dealers, and some dealers didn't even get them. I'm not 100% sure about this, but I think all Evo's have the spoiler option added from factory, and you have to add that cost in. I didn't want the spoiler at first since it was so obnoxious but I came to agree that the spoiler is what makes our car what it is.

cash price 29,500..list was 30,060 she is rally red w/spoiler no sun roof..grrr dealer allocation is two but not all 600 plus dealers will get them. Yea the spoiler is kinda over the top but it sure gives fair warning to the less fortunate.

I live in IL and bought my evo at 31,750 out the door. Including taxes it will be around 34k. I think I could have talked it down some more but I went from 36k to 31,750, so Im sort of satisfied. I wanted the car really bad and I guess that was my weakness. Anyways Im waiting for it to be delivered from the boat, which is a 1 week wait after signing the papers. It will come with the wing, roof, sports meter kit(yea i know), and the front air dams.

One bad thing is the dealer wants $1,800 for the extended warranty when everyone else here says its only $1200 for it. I didnt get it, but since I dont have plans on doing any mods to the car(keeping it stock), would you guys recommend I should get it if I can pay for it at cost, $1200?

Out the door price means tax title and license included--final price. Anyways, don't get the warranty. Not many people keep it stock anyways. If you get insured with Geico, they have a mechanical breakdown coverage that will cover your car's mechanical problems, even with aftermarket parts! I pay $34/6months for the added coverage, which is subject to a $250 deductible. It covers you for 7yrs or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first, which ends up with me paying $476 over the course of 7yrs, that covers more than the manufacturer! They only cover newly purchased cars, so consider them when you go shopping for insurance.
