Just got, buying, reviewing, thinking about a new Evo [Ultra Hyper Mega MERGE]
ARGGGG
I *REALLY* am lookin forward to pickin an evo up, but in freaking alaska we have 1 mitsu dealer, so he's basicaly got my ballz in his greasy hands
I had considered flying oneway to a biger market area and driving back up (be a fun way to break in the car,, 2000+ mile road trip) But I'd rather not really.. (vacation from work ect.. pain in the ***)
Is there anyway i can buy1 elsewhere and have it shipped?
gonna goto my bank today and see if i can get it financed via them..
So whattya think. Buy local or Go for a trip? (Or is that shipping thing even an option?)
Btw i want to walk out the door @ 32k MAX for a sunroof/spoiler/airdam set up. though if it gets shipped i could see another 500ish added on
Sugjestions please

yeah im sure it could be had for a bit better than 31-32 out the door but $500 or more under MSRP is good and there are a few other things factoring in. the dealership is like 5 miles from my house, which would be nice any time i needed service or anything like that. i know a lot of people who bought far away for a difference of like $400 and now they drive 40 miles each way any time they bring it in. i have also heard that warranty/service are handled very well by this dealership. they are a big dealership and have been around for a while and from what i hear have a good reputation. so if its a difference of like $500 or so is it worth a one time shot in the beginning for convenience as long as you have the car. for me it is.

Invoice is not 26,500.
Mitsu has very very little over invoice. Less than $2k over invoice to MSRP. If you get one for 1k under MSRP the dealership is probably losing money, especially if they have advertised it any!

Ahh Yark Mistu how I remember thee. Before you bought your car they had the markup at $5,000 over. I talked them down to $2,000 over and realized later in the day if I just did a bit of traveling I could easily get one for msrp, and I did. It's funny that they dropped the msrp to what I talked them down to.Ewww co-signer's.... my parents would have never let me do that. It wasn't even an option. Glad you like your car man, sucks on the markup. But I told you that when I first met you.
I'm sure i'll be seeing you on the road sometime soon
Hey guys,
Last weekend I drove my 03 M3 over a cliff in LA, and luckily I got out with only minor cuts and scratches.
Ever since the Evo came out I've been drooling over it, and once the insurance company totals my car I'm going to plop down the cash for a new one. It came down to a decision between the Evo and the STi, but after reading the STi forums and discovering that a lot of people are having detonation issues, Evo came out the winner.
If anybody wants to give me some advice/warnings/suggestions before I buy the Evo, I'd really appreciate it 8)

yea i'm also sorry to hear about your accident...
isnt it convenient, new car comes out - you wreck your new M3 and walk away with minor injuries. nice!
jk
you will have fun in the evo, and perhaps this time you will make it around the bend. and not into the ditch
