I am smelling some BS. You may think you did based on trade-in or someother factor in the deal.
Maybe it is just me but I am quite happy paying MSRP for the amazing EVO. I don't think iI would brag that I am "paying the lowest price". If every customer paid 200 over invoice, Mitsubishi dealers would be starved for cash, and probably close down. If that same attitude were extended to everything we purchased, we would be even more of a severe economic depression. I bought my EVO (June 12th please come faster) for MSRP (moonroof and low wing, aka no cf spoiler) and i believe it came to 30312 before dealer fees, taxes and plates. Financing was 3.9% through Chase bank and I satisfied with that setup. The dealer makes a profit, Mitsubishi Motors is happy and Chase makes a buck too. I also wonder if you are financing the car and if the dealer cut a deal with the bank to recoup money that they "lost on the sale" (even if they raised the rates from 3.9 to 4.9 for you, you effectively bought the car at MSRP even for only 36 mos financing). Just my 25 cents.
OK listen... this is not bs, i just happen to work for a used car financing company. I am the account manager. I made a phone call over to one of our dealerships that we fund people from. Anyways, one of the sales people that i am friends with knows people down in LA where he live. He is good friends with a few dealers and one just happens to be a mitsu dealer. And yes.. i can EXACTLY what i just said... 200 over invoice.. so if i get the spoiler/sunroof...invoice is about 26500 or a few more... so 200 OVER that... im not paying 31,000 + for the car just cause i want the carb fiber spoiler/sunroof. So i would appreciate if you stfu jimmyv... k thnxs bye.
As far as hooking anyone else up.. i will see what i can do and post further on the forum, just remember... it helps to know people, it REALLY does.

STI v. Evo- need to decide in the next 10 days
I've got an option to purchase an STI for MSRP, should be delivered in the next week.
Given the recent write ups in the mags, I've had some second thoughts. I am never going to race this car, won't mod it, and will use it for a daily driver. Spending a couple grand more on the STI will not be that big a deal.
I've test driven the EVO, and it was a very tight and precise car, but it is really impossible to evaluate given that the car was still in break in and I wasn't comfortable thrashing it.
So my questions are as follows:
1. The STI boards are rife with claims about inferior Mitsu build quality and longevity, especially with the transmission. Any comments?
2. Aside from the very minor performance disadvantage to the STI, are there any problems with the STI? The STI boards tend to be a little bit one-sided (whistling past the grave yard).
3. I think that given the STI's more powerful engine, (supposedly) more polished interior, and slightly more forgiving ride, the STI is for me. As discussed above, I'm not going to be racing this car.
Any disagreements?
Thanks for the advice.....

well my only comment here will be that since you will not use the car for racing or track driving. dont buy the car, just get a nice luxury commuter car and let someone else buy the car and use it for what its meant for.
Thats my honest opinion...
Thats my honest opinion...
I say get the G35 Coupe. Nicer interior than both cars. More comfortable ride. Good power, all the ammenities, same price, practically anyhow. And it looks killer. If you want an everyday driver that is nice, fast, and you don't plan to race I would definitely say a G35C or something like it.
I went through the same thing myself!
I think it is too early to determine what the problems with the car will be if any major.
after I drove the Evo, I knew that was the car for me. I have been going to the naisac site to see if I find a review from somebody the have driven both.
you can't go wrong!!!
