My evo got impounded
thats hella bull****. i believe if you notify the guy that its AWD and he ignores it you might have something to argue and try to go after. Your fault or not there is a correct procedure to everything. And you telling him wasnt to disrupt justice but to let him know the damage he caused..
i bought that Caution AWD sticker flatbed needed I talked to a cop buddy he said. If thats in plan sight (i put by VIN so they have to read it.) and he tows it on non flatbed that company is accountable for any damages. Everyone here should get it..
I hope it all turns out okay.

Glad to know I'm not the only one this bothered.
Here either. Ah well, it's Jersey after all. Nothing to see here. Move along.

Sorry but this is correct on many levels. Even if he is running **** at his Mother's business, he is still spoiled because someone started a business and gave it to him. I know many people who work in their family's business, and they're all spoiled. Sure some of them actually work, but watch them flip their **** when they have to go work for someone else for some reason. I've seen two businesses close and one get bought out, and you've never seen someone so miserable as the 24yr-olds that finally have to get a REAL job.
Still true.
What are you, the internet police? I read the entire thread, and if Raistlin wouldn't have put so much emphasis on it being his mother's business then there wouldn't have been a need to apologize. Because the rest of it is a legit argument and the fact remains that the OP IS spoiled (see above), and mishandling mail coming into his family business IS negligent. Period, end of statement.
Regarding the ACD... From my non-Evo experience, towing an AWD in this manner can cause the clutches to overheat, resulting in premature wear that shortens the life of the diff. This may cause no lights, and no noise, but may still shorten your diff life by tens of thousands of miles. Depending on how many miles your car has on it now, it may be worse than you think.
Have you thought about having a sample of the diff fluid pulled and sent off for analysis? What about sending the diff to one of the rebuilders (Shep, etc.) and have them inspect it and provide a written report? If it's worn prematurely, you may be able to pay for the rebuild now, then go after the tow company for the repair bill. You might be able to get a portion of it paid for, and the sooner after the tow you do it, the more chance you have at a claim.
Think of it as a good way to spend that $3k you save yearly by not having the insurance in your name.

Still true.

I have my bills under my name. I do not need mommy to help me get things cheaper. If I cannot afford them myself under my name I do not get them.
You are getting all upset and throwing your tantrum because you are a spoiled brat who could not have the car without your mommy helping you. The simple fact is if you did not need mommy this thread would not be here assuming you are not lying about not knowing the registration was expired. You would have gotten the notice yourself and you could have paid it yourself.
If you cannot afford the insurance you should not have the car plain and simple. Want to keep people like me from telling you the truth and not have you car impounded again? Get it all under your name. Man up and take care of your own stuff, without mommy doing it.
If it is not under your name you are not paying for it, because you are not getting everything at the price it should be.
Spoiled kids get what they want. You got the car you want under your moms name because you could not afford it. Shoe fits.
If I could get cheaper insurance by registering my car under a different entity, I'd do it in a heartbeat.
