Ok well I have an Omni 4 bar map sensor on my intake manifold is that the same thing as what you are talking about? I have this with a grimmspeed 3 prt BC so when 4WSTUNING tuned my car he could tune through the ecu FYI.

If that is the map sensor you are talking about then is it possible to remove my MAF while then getting a rettune which would probably be needed?

I geuss I ask how to go to speed density in more detail if possible. If speed density will solve my problems with my hks Im willing to try it. Also is speed density something Evo modders usually end up going to as they get past that low to medium modding point, which is where I am at now. (in the process of getting cams )

Most Evo owners stick with MAF unless they have very high power setups (~500+ whp). If I'm not mistaken you'd also need an IAT sensor to be able to go SD.

We are aware that there is conflicting views on when its worth SD at lower levels of power, I say yes.

That aside, you can use iat in uicp or some use fuel temp to fudge the iat for their own reasons. Personally great results I have seen both ways and a major issue hasn't surfaced yet.

I just installed a rfl txs on my SD set up tonight. More agressive than my 9 crushed during part throttle acceleration. Felt Goood.. no washers but gonna need a leak test ASAP to check up on things and verify butt dyno .

Op: look into the samco bpv !

I'm going speed density in the spring. My tuner says doing the switch can yield as much as 60 Hp. Btw 500 isn't high horse lol
