My dealer offered me a BRAND NEW silver or red Evo with 100 miles on them for $27k even.

Hope that puts it in perspective.

Do the price include the ($595.00) freight?

Retail on the EVO used with average miles..(15,000-20,000 miles) is $26,000-$27,000.

Wholesale is in the low 20's..

Anything less than 26K is a good deal!

Pull the trigger!!

Your numbers are crazy. How can retail on a used EVO be equal to the cost on a new EVO? I'm sure you pulled them from KBB or some other authority, but they simply don't make sence. Ask yourself this question. Would I buy a new 03 EVO for $27,000 or a used and possibly abused 03 EVO with more miles for $27,000? The answer is simple.

Maybe once the 03 inventory is gone, the used price will increase, but there are still more than a few 03 EVOs in my area that you can pick up in the $26-27k range.

Trade in value of the 03 evo is a joke

well, i traded in my silver 03 evo to Prestige Toyota in Ramsey nj. Let me set the record straight, it was and adult owned, 13k mile car in perfect shape with no issues ever. I shopped this car around as I work in the automotive buisness and I can telll you that these cars are plummeting here in the northeast vey rapidly. I traded in for $23000 and was hapy to get that. I shopped it to several dealers and I had 2 do 23k...the others would not give more than 15k. The reason for this is that they call the local mitsu dealer and ask if they want it and of course none do, the car is not listed in Galves and has a value of 25 k in Kelly(no one uses kelly). I strongly recommend that if uyou are thinking f letting it go...get rid of it now! the whole deal with mitsu being so slow is spooking all the dealers and they do not want any mitsu cars on trade. I know that you guys will all say that you don't care or i would not take that or i am not trading it in...but here is food for thought, Curently no bank will finace a used mitsu evo for a private sale in NJ because theya are afraid that they will be like Daewoo. These cars are nice but beleive me...get out of them asap or you will be so upside down it is bad! buy a subaru if you are thinking of getting an evo(not cause they are better..they are not, but you won't be hurt as bad on resale) i feel bad for you guys that paid over list!!!!!!ouch

i just had the same experience last week with mine. i ended up making a deal with a subaru dealer for 24.5k and that was only because he knows me and we had a long relationship before that. he called a lot of the mitsu dealers in the area and they all told him that they would not take it for more than 20k.

sucky resale value but an amazing car.

Mitsu is not the only

The used car market is the worst it has ever been. Except for a few rare exceptions most trade-ins are brutal. By the way, Mitsu received a huge sum of money from two seperate investors today.....check wall street journal.

If you dont like your car, just wait for the flood or some idiot to totaled it. That's how I see it. It's better than trading in. I think every sport cars out there worth nothing when you trade it in.
