Sea Foam
kyoo, think outside the box. The can is 16oz a 1/3 of that would be 5.33
Find something that measures ounces, or find something that measures 1/2 a cup (4oz) and add a little more. You could use a baking cup, I wouldn't suggest one that someone will later bake with, just get a cheap set for this, or find something else that measures ounces.
Also when you unplug the vacuum line from the brake booster the car is going to hesitate/sound like its going to stall because you just created a huge open vacuum leak. If it hesitates just put your finger over the hose hole to close the vacuum leak when its not sucking up the seafoam.

- just put it in the vac line, 1/3rd of it. I'll put the other 1/3rd in the crank case just before I change the oil
- Didn't smoke at all like I had thought, went through the brake booster vac line. I did go extremely slowly though, out of paranoia of hydrolocking

i mean it ddint smoke afterward, i let the car sit for 10-15 minutes before starting her up, was expecting a smoke fest. put 5.x ounces into the brake booster vacuum line, reaaaally slowly.. was it supposed to be a consistent suck in? I just did like tiny bit at a time, suck in air, tiny bit at a time, suck in air, etc...
again....i wanna know if any pro teams use this stuff. if it works so good why doesn't anyone endorse it?!?! u don't see AMS with a "seafoam" green car with some nice paint job pushing the product. to me this is one of those threads that make me hate forum websites. u can't believe everything u read ....or see for that matter... on a website or a forum. again i'm open to ideas and anything thatd be good for my car. but since buschur or RRE or AMS or anyone else under the sun doesnt wanna push it. i wouldnt use it either if i had 10 50 gallon barrels shipped to my house for free. and thats all i got to say about that lol
what are you guys with the huge billowing clouds of smoke running in terms of gas and oil etc?
After not getting any at all, I'm wondering.. I ONLY use v-power 93 from shell, always run the tank down to empty, only use Amsoil engine oil, and lately I've been going WOT a ton with the car.. maybe its fairly clean already?

I plan on doing this tomorrow seeing how my car has 90k miles on it.. I don't plan on putting this in the crankcase just yet seeing how I just changed my oil not to long ago.
But lets say if I was to go out of town and let the car sit for a month would this be a good idea to leave the gas tank somewhat empty with e85 and pour a pint of seafoam in it then when I get back a month later (before starting the car) fill it up with brand new e85 and then starting it? In relation to trying to keep the e85 somewhat fresh until I get back and let the seafoam do some quality soaking since (quote "sitting there after 3 years there isnt any natural damage")
and I'm assuming that it would only be a good idea to do this to the gas tank or would it seem fairly okay to do this to the intake and let it run for a while then sit for a month?

Business 101. And really how many race engines have 100k on their... well anything. Lets ask John Force if he will endorse it lol.The rant in the middle gave me a few laughs, thanks guys. If it wasn't so late I would do this now, I forgot I had a bottle left over from an old truck I did last summer. It worked well in that too.

LOL, why is there always a seafoam thread in all car forums and alway someone saying it gonna blow you your engine or it doesn't do anything. From my experience it works, think I seafoam'ed 4 cars without issue all 100K+ and most noticeable effect is that is smooth out the idle. Then I usually run 1/2 a can every few months in the tank cuz I pump that cheap costco gas
If you don't get any smoke or little smoke it usually cuz your engine pretty clean already, no deposits on the valve stem or around the intake manifold or runners, that what it cleans when you run it thru the vacuum hose. I don't think it really break up deposits around the piston rings n such unless you pour it in the combustion chamber and let it soak overnight, that would do it, I did when I was rebuilding my cylinder head and it did remove or made the deposits easy to remove off the pistons.

I had clouds of smoke....runnin v- power as well and running eneos oil, I dont run the tank till empty because of my walbro pump but It did make A big difference with idle, spool and acceleration. This was the first time ive used this and I am very impressed with the outcome.
