How in the hell are you supposed to make this thing work. I mean.. i got the right fitting.. then i unscrewed my old shift knob and slapped this SOB on and tightened it with the little sissy screws they give you and used the allan wrench too tighten it more.

THEN... i go driving and i start shifting and BOOM the shift knob goes flying and hits the roof and falls on the floors and now i am shifting with no knob and trying to merge onto a side street to fix this BS. I have been trying to get this crap to fit fo 3 days now.. now im asking advice.

I was thinking maybe use a little bolt to lock it down? But then i think the shift knob would still spin around and around and around.. and that could be dangerous. So does anyone have this crappy product installed? I say crappy because it pisses me off that a little stupid knob requires me to ask advice.

^ I bought this knob through AMS so I wouldn't have to deal with the BS plastic threads and serts to tighten down a shift knob. I've had knobs with the problem you are having after a year of use or so, never again.

Love my AMS shift knob. Not CF but not a bad shift knob by any means.
