I think I'm happy for the people that decide to buy it near 05. I wish it would have been here sooner so I could have bought it, but mostly I'm just happy they are bringing it to the US in the first place.

hahaha. how look at all the resentment from all the people on here that have the 8's. Here comes the lost list of posts from people trying to justify why the non-MR is better All to make them feel better about buying it.

I'll be the first to admit that the MR will be a better car.

Do you have a link?

Also how much do they estimate it to be? Personally i'd be more than happy with an evo viii but if the price isn't that much more why not get the mr?

I can't imagine all of the warranty problems people will have with that. Don't get me wrong, it is a bad *** car, but you can bet that when one of those active diffs break Mitsubishi of North America will immediatly point its collective finger at the driver(s) and refuse to fix it. And I would think that those active diffs would be rather pricey. This is simply coming from what I have heard about and read as to Mitsubishi's warranty problems, you can bet that those who put up the money for the MR are going to want to take it to a track.

please let me know exactly why you think that:

is it the better seats? (not really an issue since y9ou can buy better)

is it the diffs? (i am very happy with the way the 8 handles and i doubt if you will even notice them..)

is it the color? (couldn't care less)

is it the headlights/taillights? (you can do it yourself in less than 4 hours)

is it the 6spd? (i have driven both the 6spd and the 5spd and i will take my 5spd any day)

is it the power? (for the price difference between the 2 you will be able to get better upgrades and still have a lot of change left)

suspension? (might be but i am very happy with my cusco coilovers )

as you can see i don't think the MR is a better car, sure it is a very cool car but i am happy with my 8.

Very good argument, cept for these 3 IMHO. I really think the diffs will make a significant different.

The color you are right about (each to his own) but i love the grey color!

And out of curiosity when did you drive the six speed? I have only really driven five speeds and have heard that six speeds are just more shifting, but I kinda like the idea. Again good points. The only one i think you are wrong about is the diffs...

No details in the little blurb. Mentioned the RS coming this year, and that Mitsubishi is planning on bringing the MR here in '05. No mention of price, or any other details for that matter.

I agree with blonde. I'm much so happy with my Evo right now. I'll just congratulate and praise anyone who will buy the MR next year.
