P0300 HELL! please help.

I recently installed a Buscher COP and added bpr7eix Gapped to .24-.25.
I'm running at 23 psi with a MBC and now every 25 miles or so of highway driving I get P0300 code I would get the code before but never in 25 miles after reset.

any idea what OHM the Coils should be at and whats the correct way to test them?

also its my understanding that the p0300 code could be getting thrown from any vibration?

I recently did a boost leak test and fixed everything besides the throttle body seal.

any help would be great as my car is a DD

It's a vibration in the drivetrain that is tripping it. There are some patched roms and rom mods that can disable the code (I am not sure where to find them). I would carry a small code scanner with me and clear it everytime it would come up. I finally found the cause of it when I had my tranny rebuilt in December, 5th gear was very loose on the input shaft. New gear and input shaft, no P0300 as of yet.

My suggestion would be to find out how to disable it in the rom or find someone who can. Or do what I did and clear the code everytime it hits.

Thanks I do have a code reader in the car and I keep clearing it but its every 25 miles and very annoying.

I'll try to borrow a tatrix cable from a friend so I can turn it off.

anyway to test the coil on plugs?

if all else fails you could try disconnecting the speed sensor wire at the ecu ,thats if you dont use launch control , clocks will still work

I'd remmend you put the stock coils back on and clear the code. If the code does not come back call Buschur and notify him there is a problem and give him a chance to make it right. That is. IF the code does NOT come back

I don't think there should be a problem. Especially since I have never noticed a note stating some minor tuning is required

There is a thread that shows how to disable the P0300.

I used to get it every 10sec on the highway. Turned it off in the periphery bits and haven't had an issue since and it has been years.

Turning off the P0300 code will not mess with your tune.

The 2-step launch will be part of the tephra mods as well. You will just need to make sure that it is turned on and set up to where you want it.

Download ecu flash and start taking a good look at it and put the tephra mods into your rom file.

There is a lot of info in the ecuflash section. Let me know if you need any help. I will do what I can.
