I've had that happen to me a handful of times the past 4 years. Usually under similar circumstances as you described. Maybe not quite as that high of a speed though. Speed up to get around someone then hit an off ramp and put it in neutral to start braking and it flashes briefly.

Probably happened around 6 times in 4 years.

It shouldn't.

It's the switch. They seem to go bad on these cars, I found out after replacing mine that I shouldn't have seen it at all save for when I spun pretty much the whole bottom end. Idle drop to 3-400 doesn't kick it on anymore with the new one.

They're only .3bar, so once they start to fail they'll come on for virtually anything, including oil thinning, and eventually just hot idle period. It's an $8 part at a parts store and takes about 15 minutes to change if you do it the easy way and take the battery out.

I will be changing the switch this weekend. I have seen that most people who had the light come on would experiance it during idle, mine does not. Perhaps, this could mean that the switch is about to go bad, but in any case its not an expensive fix and its worth a shot.

Mine was coming on at idle drop since I bought the car, didn't start coming on at idle for a year and a half. After replacing it, it became apparent that it hadn't been reading right that whole time.

I changed it too, and now it seems fine
