Idle issues

Noticed this morning that the car didn't feel right as far as the idle when leaving for work. Upon leaving work this evening the car would not idle without 20-30% throttle. It just keeps dying after a really rough startup. Got it home and checked for vacuum leaks(found none) and also went ahead and replaced plugs. Once the car warms up to operating temp it will idle without stalling, but isn't as smooth as normal. The car has had the same tune for 18 months with no changes or mods since. I know this is a little vague but thought I'd give it a shot to see if anyone can suggest anything. Also I'm not getting a CEL.

BTW I did get gas yesterday after work. Drove it for about 20 miles after gas and nothing unusual. This morning is when things changed.

Thanks

Mods:
tb exhaust
272/264 cams
injen intake
walbro 255

Did you do an actual boost leak test? If not, I'd start there.

My guess would be the idle speed control motor or IAC (same thing). Costs like 118 somewhere on amazon.

Thanks for the suggestion. I read some other post about it after you posted this and it sounds like it could be the culprit. I'm going to take it off to inspect tomorrow.

I read in another post about the "teeth" getting worn out. Is this what is being referred to?

Pretty much just what you circled on the picture. Those should normally extend into the motor, and hold on like a gear, to be able to slip in and out, allow air to slip past at a varied degree, and thus control the idle (at least thats how I understand it works.) Anywho, your teeth on that motor are very worn, and I would now bet that that is your problem.

Also I checked on Amazon, and unfortunately the one that used to cost 118 dollars now costs like 3xx some.

Heres my thread of when this happened to me. Not sure if there is much in the way of helpful information in there but its worth a shot, to compare pictures at the very least.

Thanks man. I found a used one someone was selling from a part out salvage. I should get it today or Monday so hopefully that fixes the issue.
