Have them pull the timing cover and tell them not to touch anything after that, go down there and see if the trigger plate broke the crank sensor. If it did than your crank is walking if not your cpk is probably just bad. It's not rocket science just look at the facts and go from there.

Well got an appt for my car to go to buschur to see whats wrong for sure. Car will be up there today and looked at monday. Cheapest setup is about 8k IF my block and crank are ok. If anyone is serious about buying it, please pm me! Car is in good shape besides the motor!

Good decision. You'll get an honest assessment and no BS on the state of your motor. Let us know what they find this is a rare thing to happen on the Evo 4G63.

Thanks guys! I havent heard many cases of it on evos, my dsms, 3 out of 5 got it! Lol but it figures my luck to have it happen to me! I should hear from them monday or tuesday! Ill be sure to update as i know! Thanks guys!

Well, buschur called me yesterday! Crankwalk found me again! Dang! Lol so time for a rebuild! I will say, im very impressed with how customer savy Dan is! Calls immediately, keeps in contact, is very clear on prices and what needs done....im very impressed! Not so much by the price tho 😜 anyways, crankwalk was the culprit! Should have her back in about a month!

A friend of mine that is a tech for a speed shop says although its rare a combination of reasons could be the reason why it happens.

But it can and has happened. Sucks but sounds like you are in good hands
