Question Strictly or Boostin' ???

Hi all,

I have decided to take my car in to get the timing belt replaced and have some cams installed. At the moment I am thinking about taking it to Strictly Modified for all the work + tune. However, after watching Boostin' Performance break the 4cyl top speed record at the Byron strip last year I am still debating going to them for my tune. I am just looking for opinions on what others what do in my situation. All input is greatly appreciated! Thanks Evom!

Both will get the job done well. It's just preference. Both are very reputable shops with fast cars and good customer service

I personally think they are both good shops, but I have limited information. That being said, I have just recently been in contact with Cisco at Strictly Modified and I can say he is a big help and is full of USEFUL information. He saved me some money and some headache with my car... thats my two cents

Strictly Modified has never let me down. They go the distance for their customers. Great people to work with and their work is top notch. My two cents as well!!!

DOn't base your decision on who's shop car set records unless you are after the same thing. Search this forum for review on them and posts they've made. Speak to people who've taken the their car there.

And finally call them and ask questions about the work you want performed.

Agreed. A shop car is just that: a shop car.

Speak with both of them and explain YOUR situation and desires and see what will work best for you. As for personal experience, I have worked with Strictly Modified in the early days of my modifying addiction and then followed Devin when he opened Boostin Performance, but I have never been let down by either shop in my dealings with them.

With whom do you feel more comfortable speaking and dealing with? Who will deliver the best continued customer service down the road and offer you the greatest bang for your buck in the end? That's what's going to count.

It's your car and your money and you should go with what feels best for you. Which shop will squeeze out that extra 10hp is not worth a lifetime of hassle if you don't like actually having to deal with that shop. Both shops have proven that they perform great work, so you will likely not be disappointed with the final results; it's often the comforts of solid customer service and good communication that make the difference for many people. Just my .02
