Washington emissions failed

took my car for emissions and they tell me everything was "ready" but my OBD section failed and they have no idea why.. so I take it to intec racing by my house and they tell me my ECU has been tampered with... and the only way for it to pass emissions is to get my car re turned.. anyone
have any insight in this? Or know any other way around it? or is getting it re tuned my only option?
and the dealer that sold it to me.. should they have known? or anything I should do to them? take it back maybe?
plz help!

Talk to the guys at English Racing on Monday. They have experience with Washington emissions and can give you your options.

The dealerships wouldn't know anything beyond what is visible from the engine bay. I mean, they could find out everything about it but I doubt they would go through the trouble. If it runs, it's able to be sold.

WA changed the laws on OBD2 as has OR and MA. Bring it down and we can reset the ECU to get it to pass.
