Brake & battery lights on

Hello,

Both my brake and battery light came on at the same time when I was driving. I know that it usually indicated a bad alternator because it happen a month ago so I replaced it. Just for the hell of it I pulled the positive terminal off and the car stayed running so the alternator is working fine. Could anyone advices me what else to check?

Alternator could be working fine but charging out of range (high or low) which will trigger the lights.

How would I check if that is the issue? And if that is the case how do I fix it?

A Volt meter will give you a reading. I'm not sure what specs are but I'm sure the interwebz has them somewhere.

if you have access to a tactrix cable see if the battery is getting 13-14v's when the car is running (or use a volt meter). If it isn't check the plug going to the alternator (the 4 pin one). Make sure its on securely. if it feels like it is tug on it a little and see if it moves easily.
