Major Lag during acceleration in all gears

If this is not the right place to post my issues, can someone direct me to the right forum to use to get answers? Still trying to learn how to use this site properly.

Issues: I have an 05 Evo VIII. I had my timing belt replaced, water pump, tensioners, and there is a second belt that broke (smaller belt in timing housing).

Got the car back and it has super lag in every gear when accelerating. I put in new NGK spark plugs trying every possible gauge, .021 seems to be the best. I have also replaced the two wires, and two ignition coils as well. Still have the same lag. When I pull the plugs they are super dirty and look fouled...how can this be??? Is it possible that I have some engine problems now???

I appreciate any responses from mature EVO owners that know what they are talking about.

v/r,

Ed

could be anything; take it back to the shop and tell them to fix it

did the other belt break before or after the timing belt was replaced?

You have a cam timing issue--- they need to fix the lower belt and line everything back up to all the marks--especially the cam timing marks-- my guess is you have the cam timing very retarded so spool is weak---or you waste gate has issues and needs to be tightened.

+1 for this! If this problem only showed up after you got your car back, take it back to the shop and demand they fix it.

If your balance shaft isn't timed correctly with the crankshaft and camshafts, your motor is not long for this world.
