The plug for the OBD port is just to the display can read sensors off the ECU to display them. Having it plugged or un-plugged has no effect on the tune that is being run as all the calculations are done in the ECU.

Ok cool! Is it a Bluetooth obd plug or wired?

It is a wired plug. The wiring runs to the main box of the system.
