Need advice onOil pressure sender install

I have a evo 9 and was wondering if I should get a sandwich adapter and if so which is the best? Or if there's a place on the block that i can just screw in the sender

There is a plug on the oil filter housing that you can remove and place a 3/8 inch BSPT to 1/4 inch male JIC (-4 AN) in it's place with either yellow teflon or high temp thread sealer. The plug closer to the outside of the car (near the tire) will give you filtered oil. The one to the left of the oem oil pressure sensor will give you unfiltered oil. You can use the unfiltered oil supply for monitoring oil pressure.

If you tap into the filtered oil, would that affect the oil pressure readings? I have my oil pressure tapped into the filter housing, unsure which spot exactly. But my hot idle pressure is about 6-7 psi on an AEM digital gauge. It will hit 0 psi if I clutch in and the rpms quickly drop. Though the dummy light has never once came on. Wondering if I should switch spots.

Both should read about the same in terms of oil pressure. FP uses the filtered oil side with their oil feed install kit to keep their JB turbo's happy.

I'm using #2 area on the picture and I get 18-20 psi when oil is fully warmed up.

I read to get that screw out you have to heat it up because of the lock tight

I wasnt able to torch mine right with a propane torch due to the angle and how little or how large the flame would get. So I did it without it being torched and that sucker was stupid hard to get off. I'm surprised I didn't round the hex bolt, I was very very close to rounding it.
