Okay thanks,
does anyone know what's the best transmission fluid for evo 9 6 speed? I want to replace transfer case and rear diff fluid at the same time as well, is the OEM Mitsubishi fluid good?

Replace your fluids with all OEM, throughout the trans, diffs, as was stated already in this thread.
Use a synchro mesh fluid additive in your transmission. e
I'll go ahead and spoon feed it to you.

Sorry if I am using this thread to post my issues too, but I did not feel the need to start another thread for a possible related issue. I apologize in advance for the long post.
I drive a 2005 Evolution MR and just recently had a brand new clutch installed. When I got my clutch installed, the mechanic informed me that he was not able to bolt down the subframe properly because one of the bolts was rusted. He told me that I may or may not hear a rattle while driving, but if I do then I should not be overly concerned because it should not affect drivability and that I can bring it back to get it taken care of. I drove the vehicle back home and did not notice any noise. The next day I began hearing a rattling sound when the vehicle is in gear and when I am accelerating and maintaining speed, but whenever the vehicle is in neutral the rattling stops. The rattling comes and goes, but always when the vehicle is in gear and in motion. I took the vehicle back and the mechanic took it for a test drive and confirmed there was a rattle. He was able to bolt the subframe properly and informed that the rattle should no longer be there.
While halfway to my house from the shop, the rattling sound started again. I am confused as to what is causing it. Researching the forums, a lot of people are stating that their vehicle makes a rattling noise only when it is in neutral and it is caused by a throw out bearing. The rattle goes away when the clutch is engaged and the vehicle is in motion. I have found that my vehicle is the opposite. Description of the rattle sounds like two metal rods vibrating against each other. I can feel the vibration on the gas pedal when I accelerate and when I maintain speed. It tends to get worse if the road is bumpy and at high speeds. Only thing I have not tried is WOT because I do not know where the rattle is coming from or what the cause of it might be in fear that something might break if I do. Has anyone experienced this and could this be the throw out bearing going bad? The rattle is really starting to make me worried. Thanks!!
