oil pressure isn't even wired into the ecu (that i know of) so you wouldn't be able to see that through OBDII or MUTIII. If the bluetooth dongle has analog inputs though you could wire the pressure sensor into it and probably set up the formulas in the torque app. Disclaimer I don't have nor have ever used the torque app so i dont know if you can custom define stuff like in say evoscan.

Or if you wanted to you could probably hijack an analog channel to the ecu like they do with the fuel temp sensor for SD conversion.

nope, Hamish did have a special cable with his stand alone though that had a few Analog inputs that you could custom define. I don't think he ever offered that cable solo though.

eh, then there's nothing really that torque can't do for my purposes. I can still monitor coolant temp, rpms, etc. i guess for logging knock and stuff, you'll still need evoscan, but at the least my CEL will flash if I see knock.

OEM sensor is just a pressure switch, not a linear pressure sensor.

On this topic. I always wish I had something like this in my CT9A at the time. Now that I have a CZ4A, I was able to make this dream come true pretty easily.

Integrated android head unit with wifi streaming of all ECU sensors + 7 analog sensors (Fuel Pressure, Oil Pressure, Oil Temp, Crankcase Pressure, Boost Pressure, Surge tank Pressure, Wideband) Logs to SD Card and real-time to headunit.

seems to be some hardware/wiring required with that? torque does it through bluetooth obd2.. not as pretty as the racecapture app but idk that racecapture can read from the obd2, at least for the inputs that obd2 can read

Yes I am using Racecapture Pro 2 which reads all ECU data via CAN/OBD2 plus all the external analog sensors and streams it via Wifi to the Android head unit.

It also has GPS and lap timing as well.

The racecapture unit has a hard connection to the ECU and CAN network via the OBD2 port. Anything the ECU outputs, it can read.

ahh got it. i guess i was confused, thought it was an app by itself, looks like it's an actual hardware data logging system

Yes. Racecapture app on android head unit receiving data via WiFi from the racecapture unit.
