In dash double din w ability to view Evo scan and listen to music/radio?
Its possible, the main problem is Hamish has never made his Android version of evoscan publicly available. Which means you have to use a windows based machine which is gonna leave you pretty much in the world of custom carputers
dont understand why he didn't just make his android version available. would be perfect with my head unit, and i think he had software that ran on a kindle that would display all kinds of information, digital gauges, etc.

He said he was working with Kindles, I even bought one just kinda hoping it would materialize. I wanted an E-reader anyway though so it wasn't a loss when nothing happened. No you can't run windows on an ARM based machine. Its kind of political within the industry, Intel doesn't want anything ported off its x86 architecture. The best you can do is an Intel x86 based mobile processor. I bought an HP windows tablet attempting to get something going, but i ran into problems with the Openport connection dropping ALOT. It probably had more to do with my hacked power solution introducing noise on the serial line but i kinda lost interest after a crazy amount of hours of trouble shooting.
Somebody could be getting rich off of this. The Evo’s ecu already has sensors on every single value you could ever want to see... if there was some way to tap off of that and display it instead of installing gauges......

haha i wish that was true. I think you overestimate the demand for a MUTIII protocol based stand alone logging/instrumentation solution. Its been something I have wanted to try and do as a DIY though for a while now.
yah, Hamish must be preoccupied counting all that Evoscan money lol.
Here's the thread about his stand alone solution that you can't get
