First MR owner with a stupid question
yes, the stopper inside at the top of the ball changes position if you shake it. Taking the shifter off and putting it on again, with trial and error is the only solution.
Also, it seems that the MR shifter threading is different from the regular EVO thread. M10 x 1.25 for the 5 speeds and it looks to be M10 x 1.5 for the MR. I will let you guys know when I get the new shiftknob.

My knob came upside down took me like 15min to get it straight you gotta get it to screw on at the right place, try different places and differnt pressures on the knob, itll take you a while but youll get it, i took it off and did it couple times already now its perfectly striahgt

you can also try putting in some foam or plastic bb's (bb gun) and screw it on.. it might sit higher then normal but it'll be straight..
crushing the bb's or the foam causes the shift knob to screw on tight ..
