Evo 8 which wires to use for immoblizer cut ?

Hey guys - I'm about to install an alarm into my evo 8. I have got plenty of experience install alarm and used to have my own biusiness a few years ago.

Got all the wires sussed however can someone tell me the cuts for the immoblisers. The ignition and starter motor are simple, but does anyone know the wire colours and locations of the fuel pump and ecu ? I want to make it real hard to steal.

On my evo 4 when I took the alarm out they had cut the starter and what looked to be the fuel pump wire. It was a quite a thick black wire running from the drivers kickpanel to the rear down the drivers side, I think it had a white trace ? Can anyone confirm what they are for an 8. Also I am aware that the 8 should have a factory immobliser which proignition or starter so probably one of the other cuts is all that I need.

If anyone can help me with these two wires (ECU and Fuel Pump) please advise, thanks -

What immobilizers are you talking about? All you need to do to have a steal safe car is install a starter kill, and hide the immobilizer bypass module realy well. Most of the DEI alarms also have AED (automatic engine dissable). This feature will cut the starter wire in half 30 seconds after the car has been shut off and the ket taken out of the ignition. Just turn this feature on as well. Your car will not be going anywhere, except on a roll-back..

much thanks to benji's post which was very helpful in retrofitting an evo6 turbotimer harness to work in an evo8.

yes I understand this as I am an installer...My question was why do you need to know where the ecu and fuel pump wires are?

I guess this is good information considering that it is copied right off of directed electronics website...

ok here are all of the wires and thier locations for a security system, remote start, and/or keyless entry system...

*12volts-white (40A)-Main Ignition Harness
*Starter-black/yellow-Main Ignition Harness
*Ignition-Black/white-Main Ignition Harness
*Accessory-blue/black-Main Ignition Harness
*Second Accessory-blue/white-Main Ignition Harness

*Keysense-blue-ETACS ECU (pin 30)
*Power Lock-purple-ETACS ECU (pin33)
*Power Unlock-light green-ETACS ECU (pin34)
*Parking Lights-green/yellow (L), green/white (R)-white plug in drivers kick, 25 pin plug (pins 5 & 16)
*Hazards-white-ETACS ECU (pin 25)
*Door Trigger-blue-white plug directly below fuse box
*Dome supervision-use door trigger wire
*Trunk Pin-green/orange-light in trunk
*Factory Alarm Disarm-gray-ETACS ECU (pin25)
*Tach-black/green or black/yellow-either coil
*Brake Switch-green-drivers kick panel (white plug beside the black plug)
*Parking Brake-blue/red-at parking brake switch

~The ETACS ECU is attached to the back of the fuse panel under the drivers side dash. It is the red ECU that has two main connectors on it.

This is everything you will need for a complete, and successful install...

hey just for extra security I would like to immoblise the fuel pump at least. It is easy for someone who knows about alarms to find the starter and accessory wire behind the key or just up under the dash and reconnect them, it is alot harder for them to trace a black relay cut off wire which goes brain the alarms brain and sneaks its way down the drivers kick and is cut part of the way doen the car in the loom. I'll find it easy enought by lifting the back seat and looking at whatr wires are to the fuel pump and then finding the wire which starts as 12volts and then stops when car is turnied on and then runs constantly when the car is running, I think it is black with a yellow trace from memory ? though it might help to know rather than to have to go through this process and search for it.

Hey thanks for the wire diagrams dudes, does anyone know about the wire colour ???

^^to the above diagrams, I recommend using them as a guideline and STILL test to be sure that they are the correct wires. I have seen a few models with different colors.
