Throttle body air leak...Pics inside with how to fix!!!
Bumping this up with a quick question.
How screwed am I if I took the TPS off without marking it?? I need to replace the seals, but I wanted to clean the entire throttle body as well. So I removed it before I got to the How-to on marking off the TPS. Is this something that will be a pain in the *** to get correct??

you will need to plug it in and hook your car up to the computer and run evoscan and log without actually turn the car on. you can see the value of the TPS and slightly move it enough til it almost matches where it was while off throttle before changing the shaft seals
is there any specific way to make sure you get the throttle spring tension perfect?
im not at all new to working on cars, but im a little wary of fahking up the tps calibration ad/or the spring tension...

Just did a boost leak down and found that something near my TB is leaking. I'm assuming that it's the shaft seal but not 100% certain. Question is this: When doing the boost leak test, the leak the TB starts gassing out at about 5psi - is it capable of leaking that much? I should mention that when driving, my boost doesn't go past 11psi. Thanks.

Now I have to take the tb off again and spray a dry moly lubricant. I'll post the link up later. Anybody else do this and what chemical did you use to reseal it?
Is this good way to test ONLY at throttlebody? Last week I did boost leak test and found huge leak from throttle spring. So, replaced shaft seal recently. I would like to boost test again but don't feel like remove air intake since I know it's only place leaked. thank you.

Just replaced mine with the milspec seals. Start to finish at a comfortable pace... 15 minutes to pull the TB, 20 minutes to disassemble and replace seals, and another 15 to reinstall the TB. No more boost leak.
Thanks for the TSCOMPUSA2 for suggesting the screwdriver method of seating the seals. This worked like a champ.
