I kindda figured out my problem but i dont know how to fix it. The driver is not properly being installed. i try to update it and it says it cant find the necessary software. what do i do?

+1 to a great write up


my install took about 4 hours....

and that was while i was at work and helping customers too......plus i soldered and heatshrunk everything


also mounted mine in the RS in the little pocket they give you where the radio should be....

gotta solder! Such a simple but effective unit. I took mine off for a few days and i almost lost my mind...Once you go wideband, you never go back.

working in a car audio shop i wouldve been shot had i used quick harnesses/etc

In all actuality, using quality 3m connectors offer a fast install with reversible uninstall option leaving little to no traces of any connections even being on the wiring harness.

I'll back you up Kris I HATE THE QUICK CONNECTS! but if you are uncomfortable with stripping and soldiering that go ahead has for me everytyhing is Stripped, Poked, twisted and Soldiered.

You shouldn't twist. It increases the chances for wicking to occur.

guys, if I am going to install an any other WB which needs a ground location and 12V can I still use the ECu pins for ground and 12V ?

my wide band instructions ask to ground to the engine block.. but I think the ecu seems like a good spot (LC-1)
