Then I accidentally pulled on the clutch pedal with my foot, and THE ENGAGEMENT POINT RETURNED TO WHERE IT WAS BEFORE THE ADJUSTMENT, REALLY HIGH. I am thinking that the hydraulics behind the pushrod have some kind of automatic adjustment that makes the clutch engage at a certain point in the pedal travel.

If you have shortened your pushrod to make the clutch engage lower to the floor, could you try pulling the clutch pedal up, and let me know if you got the same thing I did? It's also possible that I have something weird going on with the hydraulics, but I just want to make sure that mine is the only one doing this. Thanks a lot!
I have that same problem. I don't know if it's something with the hydraulics or not but I adjusted mine closer to the floor and if I let it sit, it sinks down a little but the engagement is dead on where I want it. Then if I pull up on it with my foot it changes the engagement to the top. It's weird and I cant figure it out. It's almost symptoms of air being in the lines or the cylinder not holding its seal and losing pressure.

i just got a used evo 9 mr and the clutch engages high and heavy and it is very difficult to get in first when stoped or moving slowly. I am not sure if its because of the car may have an after market clutch or if the pedel just needs an adjustment.

I think the car knows your screen name and is messing with you.

Seems to be a lot of confusion here. Please watch this video on how to properly adjust your clutch pedal (second video down)

I am having difficulty in high rpm shifting at 8k rpm. The gear will not engage properly with my HKS LA clutch. Does adjusting the clutch padel will help as well?

Thanks.

Question: I swapped my clutch, now I notice my pedal only has to be pushed in like 2 inches for me to switch gears. I guess it can be said it engages at the very top. Will adjusting the bolt change the point at where it engages?? I'd rather it engage closer to the floor.

^ yes. you can loosen the bolt then turn the rod behind the pedal to lower the engagement point. You can adjust it, go for a ride, do it until you like the way it is. Don't adjust it too much or it will get tough to change gears. If that happens, turn it the opposite way until it's the way you like it.

my ACT-TTP clutch used to have some free play, but now it has none. when i tap on the pedal while driving i can feel the vibration under my foot.i only have to lift my foot very little for me to start moving in 1st... for some reason i feel like this might be making the clutch wear faster, but am i right? should i adjust it to have more free play, or leave it as it is?

Problem turned out that the clutch peddle was not making contact with the switch when clutch was engaged .

I have a question about adjusting my clutch pedal. Currently my clutch has to travel about half way up before it starts to engage. I would like to bring the engagment point lower but if i adjust it down, then the clutch pedal is too low when it is engaged. My question is how can I adjust the clutch engagment point lower without lowering the clutch pedal position when it is engaged. Is this even possible? or is much clutch pedal spring just messed up.
