hondafan,
I am sorry. I read your post like 3 times and it just confused me more. I really felt like you were declined and when you ended it all saying you would take it to a shop next time it disappointed me. I think you should be happy you got it done and that your car is on the road. I don't usually come off as this defensive, but I will tall you it was all in fun.

Everything was disconnected, I just kept spinning it around trying to get it out of there. I'm going to lower down that brace that is connected to the control arms tonight. Hopefully it will come out easy after that. What do you meen by "remove the rear yolk"?

Guys quick question. I had work needed to be done on my block so I ended up taking off the transmission. And I put in new STOCK CLUTCH, but have 1 question...

I put the transmission back on and did all the approporiate changes and slided it in and all bolted back to the engine.

The logic in me says that clutch fork needs to be pressed towards the passenger side. So, to the left side when I"m looking at it, as I think slave cylinder would "PUSH" the clutch fork... BUT i see that i can't push it towards the passenger side at ALL, but it moves to the RIGHT (driver side). So it's like it needs to be PULLED by the slave cylinder.. but logically that's not possible!

Do i need to pull the transmission out again? or does it automatically become normal after connecting everything up on the engine? I noticed the clutch fork natually goes to the passenger (left) side because of a spring...

I have a feeling something's not right here! Thanks in advance!

Ok guys, here's some picture, this is what i'm talking about:

Pic1, The TOB is set to far to driverside at first. :

Pic2, View from Clutch Fork :

Pic3, I push the clutch fork far right to the driver side. It makes a "Click" and catches on the little ring :

Pic4, I let go of the fork after the click, Than the fork goes to the middle of the clutch fork hole:

Pic5, I can push the fork to the right (driverside) and it goes there, but when i let go, the fork goes back to the center.

It's very Springy, I can't push the fork to the Passengerside at all, it automatically centers again when pushed to the driver side.

Is it supposed to be like that? I'm not sure, but i think it's supposed to be the opposit?

i can't remember the movement of the fork, but i'll be working on my car later so maybe i'll pop my slave cylinder off and check for you. assuming it's wrong, are you sure that the springs on the fork were installed in the proper orientation? if not, the tranny will have to come back off.

Thanks man, this is bothering me alot right now, no matter how i look at it, there's nothing that can hold the clutch fork to forced natually to right side (driverside), it always centers back if i push to the right side.

Maybe after i put in fluid and back in the car, it should be fine? i'd really hate to put it in, and find out i have to drop the transmission again. right now it's all being done out of the car, engine and transmission is outside with no fluids in them.

i didn't have time to get at the slave cylinder today and check, but looking at it visually it looks like it's tensioned to be pushed to the driverside and the SC moves it toward the passenger side. fluid shouldn't matter, after pushing on the fork to engage the TOB, the tension should be there. maybe tommorrow i'll have more time when i put my springs on, but for now, i'm thinking you have the springs on the fork wrong. scroll down on this link and look at the picture of the TOB and fork assembled and see if you can remember if you installed them in that way.http://evomoto.com/tech_info.php?tec...c4653b2c3315f1

Does the fork feel springy at all? It is pretty hard to screw that up although anything is possible.

Yes you should be able to engage the TOB into the pressure plate and it should keep it there.

With just the passenger mount fastened, how much engine/tranny lowering is required to jockey tranny out?

It requires enough moving around to clear the trans free from the frame rail on the driver side.
