Trying to decide on my first mods...

I have a stock 03 and I'm going to buy myself a christmas gift I'm torn between going with performance or looks.

I love my iPod and I really want to get the Pioneer AVHP5700 in-dash touch screen with the iPod interface, it's very slick. I'm tired of having it ghetto rigged with my FM transmitter.

The other option would be a boost gauge and a Vishnu stage SubZero. I work at Circuit City so on employee cost the entire Pioneer setup would be around $1200 installed. The Vishnu would be half as much but leave me without my car for 2-3 days which kind of sucks.

Any ideas on first mods?

Just get yourself a tb exhaust and a flash and be done with it.

How noticable would the gains be with a TB and flash?

Xflash should be high on your list, trust that you will not be sorry, I gained 30awhp and that is very noticeable. Pull 300lbs out of your car and you can have an idea. I also gained faster spool up, better gas mileage, and more torque.

I would highly recommend a turbo back exhaust and cams then a tune. This way, you can save money by only tuning it once.

Thanks,
Tom

By "tune" you mean a custom dyno tune correct, not something like a mail in xflash? I live in Rochester and do not know of any nearby places that would be qualified to tune an Evo.

My first mod will be my boost guage but for subs I would recoomend Alpine all around even for the touch screen, I've never felt anything like the Alpine touch screen deck, it actually clicks when you touch it. I also have the Type X 12'' in vented box and it rattles the shiet outta my bumper + hits hard.

Okay,

Discuss the latest body kits, stereo, and other non-performance items in here.

I believe a Pioneer in-dash DVD player would constitute as a non performance stereo item. And my car is stock like I stated in my post. You want to know what a stock Evo 8 looks like?
