Thats what i have heard and seen. I dont know of any threads about this. All i know is that MIVEC head is not as good as the Evo 8 heads. I am not a tuner but its something with MIVEC that holds back a little bit power especially with cars in the 700-900 WHP area.

When i was running the Fp black last year making around 600. The car was perfect. But i hear when you get to the high numbers, 8 head is the way to go. Im excited to see the difference with the new cams and head

Yea it kinda stunk that the car had some issues but thats racing and things happen. Im glad i at least made some decent runs for everyone. 8s hopefully coming soon

Definetly should go one year man its such a blast. Now i hear that next year will be a 3 day event which will make it even better

Pics above from the Shootout!

Now the plan of action is to get the Evo 8 Head on the car with all new 1mm over sized valves, new supertech dual spring/retainers, and new cams. I also decided to sell my ETS FMIC 4" and go to the ETS 5"

With these changes, im looking forward to the new power level and next track day. Still after that 8 sec pass which im confident it will come very soon! With the temps dropping into the 80s and 70s now, i believe one of these weekends it will happen Stay tuned for more updates!!

PM Collin @ Toxic Fab! This manifold is amazing and im glad I went with a FF turbo kit. I ran stock appearing for 2 years and it was a nice change! and thanks bud I appreciate it!

No it is a 2 day event. Saturday was the max effort class time attack then Sunday is the drag racing. Buschur was open Friday for Dyno pulls but there was no official dyno day. I think the 3 day event will start Friday with the Dyno day/open house, then saturday max effort class, then Sunday the drag racing

Thank you sirr! Kinda Bummed i was having break up issues the whole day but managed a decent run with the 9.6 with the car breaking up a little on that run as well. It was a great weekend and im looking forward to next year!

Thanks man! I am too. Mivec is still good and I ran a decent time with them. But something is causing my break on every pass and we believe it is the valve springs. The supertechs are over 2 years old and since I put the bigger lift cams in there (kelfords 288/280) I think I'm starting to get valve float. We have narrowed it down to that cuz we went over pretty much everything. Since we have to re-condition the head, I decided to make the swap now with the 8 head and cams. I'm Excited to see the difference as well. Stay tuned for the next Dyno day!!
