Thanks for sharing. I just went through my wiring harness and re-routed the groupings. pain in the butt! Now I want to completely re-do the harness from the ECU. I hate seeing things that I want to change.

No problem .

It surely is a pain. I had the same thoughts afterwords. It was such a mess under there from the factory. In the future, I would love to do the entire harness if I suddenly grow the cojonés.

I'm stocking up on 20 and 22 awg multicolored silver stranded Tefzel wire for a reason I know I can save a few pounds with the ACD wiring that goes 7 feet and then turns back on itself and goes to the back of the car. Probably needs 10 feet of wire, but has more like 24 feet. The PDC being located in the heaviest corner of the car is also not the best idea. I'd like to move the PDC under the dash if possible... or maybe go to a MoteC PDM and hide that ish.

Heck yeah! I'm sure so much efficiency is lost in how long and how unnecessarily twisted all of the harnesses are from the factory. Save some for me .

And agreed. Under the dash would be incredible. I REALLY need to get a DD so I can do some more intensive wiring work to my car.

This thread was posted at a great time for me. After spending a month tracking down why I have no spark or fuel, I started un-looming the same part of the harness you did a few hours ago looking for broken or melted wires. Would be a perfect time to clean everything up and remove the EGR connectors.

Well, I'm extremely glad you found this useful, as that's why I posted it!

The only tip I have for you is to make sure when removing the EGR plugs that you don't accidentally remove the plug for your knock sensor, which looks very similar to that of a coil pack.

Good luck!!

looks good. i'll be doing this as well except i'll be depining the connectors and running all new wire all in black and hiding the fusebox inside the car. gonna take me a while but will be worth it in the end. im going to try to remember to take pictures and i'll add them here as well to add to ur writeup. I'm also going to try to hide the radiator, delete power steering, ac, and abs. i want the minimal amount of things in the bay, basically if i dont need it it wont be in it.

Awesome, mang! If you did a writeup on the fuse box relocation I think that would be a great asset to the community.

I didn't want to delete anything, as the car is purely a street car so weight isn't really an issue to me. Any reason why you want to hide the rad?

I agree with you there. My chunky Koyo makes me a bit frustrated at times. BTW, saw your build over on Tristate. I'm the same Blue91lx over there .

That was my fault for not editing that. I posted about that above. That grey plug is for your knock sensor, which I ended up putting it back into the harness.
